If you only have soul hearts and find a full health pill it makes you invincible, but I have no idea if they fixed that.

I would take Orchid, aside the mana regen and Int, you get a nice +30 attack speed boost, +30 damage, the silence also increases the damage taken by 30% and you can easily build one from the side shops since they sell all the items.
