I remember playing a game on my tv that was basically that, you have to fly across the maps, aways boosting up because gravity would always pull you down and sometimes you had to use your tractor beam to pull some glowing rocks to power up doors. It was pretty hard, I never got past the second level.

Its pretty much how Formula 1 now is more about car engineering than driving skill.

I remember playing a game where you had to shoot smaller guys at would shoot at you. You had to shoot them to get a boost on your jumps to get past the obstacles, but shooting too many of them would mean you have a bullet hell to dodge too.
