Use the Metro 2033 section of SPUF for the FOV fix. It's at 45 default so set it to 75. Anything higher makes your view wonky.

Also, Sniper IS A GOOD HERO, if you have proper positioning, which is why you get a shadowblade and phase boots. If sniper's in a good position, and the team has a hero like Magnus, Tide, or Enigma to give him some space, then he can absolutely wreck.

I would say Sniper has a higher damage potential than Drow Ranger, but most people are too thrown off by positioning issues to take advantage of his specialties. And like you said, he syncs well with initiators. More of a team player carry to say.
