What are your resolutions? Mine is to not fucking die. It'll be tough, but I think I can commit to it!
Try and lose the few pounds gained during the lockdowns/shutdowns, that and go outside to hike/enjoy nature more.

Got to go on a trip to Arizona the last week, visited Phoenix and its suburbs, Sedona/Red Rock state park, and the Grand Canyon, hiked for about 20 miles in total, great weather there (compared to chicagoland) too, was a fun trip.

Rather short one:
finished up doing an alignment for a body shop (collision repair) at work on a brand new car, was test driving it verifying the repair when some guy rear ends me, I got out screaming at the guy about it being a customer car, and the guy punches and OHKOs me, wake up in bed immediately after, sit for a minute wondering what the hell just happened.

Got an epic length one.
For one reason or another, the government decided to make high schools teaching life skills mandatory, and thus is providing additional education even for those who already completed college/higher education, so I was back in my heavily renovated high school with my old classmates, The school itself had a darker paint theme, and the layout was more of a labyrinth then a school, and had living quarters for some reasons (much like a dorm).
For the first night back, people just kinda caught up with each other, talking about what they did over the years, don't remember what but most people took office jobs so their lives were relatively boring, I did met up with my old HS crush (who was also single), confessed my love for her, and spent the night with her. Cut to the first day of class, cooking, they were teaching basic skills on how to make food for oneself, with things like roast chicken, pizza, etc. I guess there was a magic refrigerator, because I somehow got the ingredients for sushi and made a spectacular platter that wowed everyone. Cut to lunch, with it somehow being the platter enough for more than 700 people.
The afternoon class was automotive repair, with a project of a demolition derby at the end of class, with the instructor giving out the bare minimum of information, so most people did not build/fix enough for the upcoming contest, since I work in the business, I proceed to utterly destroy everyone in fixing, and then the demolition derby afterwards. People got mad at me for some reason, and had a long chase through the school, with even more weird/non-euclidean geometry, then slowly, I got the "running very slowly in a dream" thing going on, and woke up.

I havent talked to people here that I consider close with in quite a long time, but I have zero clue on how to start a conversation now that people arent posting here anymore about their lives daily anymore.

cringing at your past can be good tho, you grew up so you know better now and all that jazz.

>computers fail to boot completely, not even into BIOS
>fiddle with resetting bios, sucessful
>computer will now refuse to boot unless PSU switch is toggled

Got some range time today, that damn thing kicks like a mule, but its fun shooting. Probs have to look into recoil management , or switching to .40 slow and wimpy until I git gud.
-
No, nearly all the ranges near me are closed for the time being, so no fun/breaking it in there.

TMW disposable income, not that much of an issue. Managed to find some store selling 10mm, 17 bucks for 50 rounds S&B FMJ, and $24 for 20 hornady critical dury hollow points, not too terrible compared to what I can find online.
(Im kinda tempted to use the Trumpbux coming in for Mruicans to buy more pew pews, someone pls stop me)
-
out of curiosity, whats so bad about 10mm, asides from being overkill?
Tried, but Illinois is a PITA about ammo, needs a copy of both a drivers licence and FOID card to be able to ship/buy online.
Dude at the counter said they should have a shipment coming in thrusday morning, and they should have enough left when I got and pick it up.

Well, to clarify, paid for it today, took about half an hours worth of paperwork, but there is a 4 day waiting period to actually pick it up, so I physically can get it Thursday evening.
Getting ammo is the real problem now, since almost every place is sold out.
also seems like gungenie/gallery of guns is not working at this time due to said virus.
-
Got myself a Glock 20 gen4, since coronavirus panic is hitting the gun stores as well, want some protection if shit really goes down.

Sucks having an "essential job" as an automotive technician, since I still have to go inside people's cars, but still puts money in the bank.

sucks too if your job/tertiary education is a sausage fest, zero chances there.
