Speaking of Hitman, The PC Beta drops tomorrow for preorders. People have said it's a good return to form after Absolution. I think Absolution's a fun game, but it's definitely more of a splinter cell game in disguise than Hitman. Disguises barely work, so you end up hiding behind boxes most of the time. Which is the opposite of Blood Money and Contracts.

Pillars's's's White March Pt. 2 came out finally. I think I might be the only one who cares. But for what it's worth, part 1 was super good, looking forward to playing Part 2.

I was planning to play mostly Gief and Birdie, then Mika came out of the woodwork and now I don't know what to think anymore.

Depends on the mission. In missions with an Evac zone, you have to bring the soldier's dead or unconscious body with you in order to keep their gear. On missions where you secure the zone by killing everything, you just have to complete the mission. As a Trade off for this, weapons and generic armor are mass produced unlike EW where you had to build them on a one by one basis. But when you go customizing them or using specialty armor, those items are lost if you leave the soldier behind. Secondary items are lost too in this case. While it can lead to big goddamn hero moments where you sling a buddy over your shoulder and haul him back to base, it's also a real problem when you lose equipment that takes awhile to build and uses rare materials. Those Star Wars DVDs Wrist Rocket design documents call for an Elerium core (Read: Rare stuff) and take like four days to build, unlike Predator armor which is Buy once, free forever. I also updated the previous post with pix of our freshly crafted borderlands guns. Because I figured at Least the Gatling Laser Mag Cannon and Gauss Rifle look cool enough to post.

Gentlemen, We did it. We've discovered the mysteries behind magnets. We've already mastered the technology on Rubberband Guns Magnetic Rifles and Pistols, Now we just need to figure out how to tape enough together to finalize our Railgun and Rail-minigun designs. I haven't played Divinity, but I put like 100 hours into Pillars. Cursory research seems to point to Divinity having stronger combat, but a weaker world/story. While pillars has a strong world/story, but weaker combat.

I've heard Twewy is supposed to be really good, but I know basically nothing about it except that it's an RPG with Buttons. What is Twewy?

Superstar Saga is the best, but good luck trying to play it on a touchscreen. Mario Tennic GBC is really legit, it's half mario, half tennis RPG. Probably really hard on touchscreen. Warioware Mega Microgames Inc, the first one, was a lot of fun, but again touchscreen. Shoutout to Chrono Trigger if you pick up a SNES emulator. I played the whole thing on my phone no problem.

VIP Retreival mission! Asset Protection Mission! Black Site Mission! (Spoilers we died) Whelp, Time for another Do Over. Rynjin, Cube, and Huff earn their first death.

So apparently Dressing Rynjin up like Leon the Professional gave him bonus aim or something. In other news, WE'VE FAILED MEN! Today we mourn the loss of Jordax, Moose, and Merso Oh my god, the ride back in an empty Skyranger, the sad music, the empty mission results screen, Tygan wishing he could have done more Anyway, in light of this. I will be doing my first ever clock rollback. Because holyshit new recruits are expensive to buy, I can't afford that shit. I will be replaying the mission and appending a 2 to the end of their names, so that we never forget their alternate timeline sacrifice. Also I'll make a running tally on the first post of everyone I got killed.

Retaliation, against my Xcom? It's more likely than you think!

Resistance Boyz! The last batch of rookies execute a flawless mission, except for the part where Jordax missed the bus, but we came back for him. I'm not gonna abandon somebody who shoots aliens in the face when they panic. Highlights include, -Ayys making Jordax panic, who retaliates by moving up and shooting them in the goddamn face -Sweet flanking shots by everybody -Kay shooting a Pectoid in the ass Promotions for everybody! Should have known that Merso would be a sniper with that boonie hat of his. Jordax and Kay get robot buddies. And ICBMoose is still determined to prove we're not terrorists by wielding a bigger gun as our third Grenadier. Also, Spufcom executed a flawless Ambush for the first time! I'd make a webm, but I don't know how+they don't work here, so have a clip instead.

DLC Characters are awesome (CHARACTER ACTION TINGLE), but the adventure maps are all endgame content. So you can play them right away, but it assumes you've already beaten the old adventure map and everything is leveled as such. It really helps if you've already gotten the Level3 weapons from the Classic adventure map.

And after all the tutorial stuff, during which I already lost two unnamed soldiers, we're in full swing! Krazu and Corvette inherited the two squaddies who didn't die, becoming a Sniper and Grenadier respectively. One very successful mission later where nobody actually died, -Idiot Cube performed admirably and earned himself a robot buddy, between patching up Rynjin between his panic attacks and blasting traitorous scum, he has a bright future ahead of him, although he did fulfill his destiny of tanking bullets and ended up in the medical ward again. We were unable to save his fabulous haircut from the first game. -Rynjin the Professional makes his comeback! I'm sure he'll be a great shot, especially after spending the entire mission panicking and missing 80% flanking shots. All that pressure to shoot aliens must have gotten to him. But to his credit he did kill a Pectoid. -Huff demonstrated his adept use of grenades during the mission and became our second Grenadier. He also managed to avoid all injury by making clutch shots! -Killa Waliid sneaks in last as our only Ranger for the moment, because I got Plot Ranger killed in the second mission. I'm sure he'll do fine. Jordax, Moose, and Merso are next on the chopping block, they're out to prove that Xcom is not a terrorist organization. I'm hoping we get another robot buddy and Ranger to round out the class distributions. Gentlemen, I give you SPUFcom

Mayonetta and Corn are out. First impressions, -Bayo's fun -Umbra Clock Tower is a good map, starts off Final destination, then generates random(?) falling debris platforms -Corn is a weirdo with weird moves, I have no idea how to use him

I still have some chrimbus funds left, if there are people to play with I might pick it up. Guilty Gear Xrd is cool too, but the netplay is shoddy.

Western society tends to be more accepting of fake violence than lewd. On the flipside there are a bunch of games in Japan that are censored for too much violence. I'm sure the people there think it's similarly dumb. But in NA that's usually not a problem, unless you're Manhunt 2. It baffles me that games like Revengence and No More Heroes are censored in Japan, WHEN THEY WERE MADE IN JAPAN.
