I agree with most of your sentiments, but I actually liked the crafting system. It meant instead of tripping over legitimately useless junk 99% of the time like in 3/NV, all the random knickknacks laying around in 4 are useful in different ways. It's the difference between "Oh another house with tons of useless heavy stuff, just take the drugs/ammo" when looting an area and "Oh nice, there's like four toasters here and a bunch of coffee cups, I can use the circuitry and ceramic for my power armor"

Capcom isn't allowed to go out of business until I get Monster Hunter World and one or two Megaman X Collections.

Say what you want about the Rabbids, but I'm having a grand old time with Mario Xcom adventures. Gameplay is top notch. In one turn with Mario I can slide tackle two guys, jump off a teammate to headstomp a third guy, which lands me next to a fourth guy who I can hammer to death, then go into overwatch. And the game doesn't pull any punches as far as difficulty goes, it might simplify the formula a bit, but it expects you to take full advantage of the above mechanics or get shot to death. It's the crossover nobody was expecting to be good, but somehow it works.

I wonder if it's improved from the PS3 version, because the graphics in the trailer look almost the same. The PS3 version is actually a really good port, so having it on PC would be enough by itself.

So I've been playing Yakuza Kiwami and having fun with it. It's the PS4 remake of the first Yakuza game, which was on the PS2. They added some new stuff to the old to tie it in with Y0 better, since that was the prequel game, but they ripped the combat engine right out of Y0. And the Majima Everywhere system is a revamped version of the Mr. Shakedown stuff from Y0. It's fun, but it feels like this cross between a weird old PS2 game, and a direct expansion pack for Y0. Especially considering you start with all the fighting styles from Y0 and characters/events from the prequel are now directly referenced.

Despite living in tornado land, I appreciate never having to worry about hurricanes.

So I played a bit of raid, And I dunno, a lot of stuff about it just doesn't feel right. The character's dialogue feels stilted, or just awkward. They interact more than Payday, but it's more grating than fun to listen to. The weapons sound like popguns and aren't that fun to shoot things with. The mouse control feels baaaaaad no matter how much I mess with it. Maybe if it gets consistent updates like Payday and Vermintide did it'll be cool 6 months from now, But right now I've got no motivation to play RAID over either of those two games.

Splatoon 2 Splatfest Flight King reporting in. Also bubble blower special out today, it's weird. It's not that dangerous, but it really gets in the way and can block off paths with the bubbles.

Fun fact, All the official Expansion packs for Beth games run like mods too. As far back as Morrowind, all you had to do was plop in the files and tick on the mod. I'm not sure what people were expecting when fifteen years later Beth still can't be bothered to check that you paid for the DLC they made.

I like how you can kind of see where the gameplay would have fit in. And particular sequences within it. It's a damn shame it had to come to this though. Glad to have some sense of closure though, since I'm calling this hard canon until proven otherwise with a full launch of HL3

Finished replaying Bulletstorm the other day, still as fun as I remember. Dialogue still as ridiculous as I remember. I think my favorite line is "Here comes Butterdick Jones and his heavenly asshole machine!"

I like that Chex that's just the Rye crackers and nothing else when i can find it.

I've never been able to get into a Mumorpuger. Single Player RPGs are more my speed.
