To Buy or Not to Buy?

The Unofficial Patches for the base game and any DLC ->Fixes lodsofebugs Darnified UI -> Makes the UI Scale better at higher resolutions, down to personal taste Those are what I run, they give you the vanilla experience without messing up the vanilla balance/gameplay. The "Stupid stuff" I referred to is mostly my own pet peeves with the game, your mileage may vary. I for one hate the amount of minmaxing you have to do just to get decent stat multipliers when leveling up.

To Buy or Not to Buy?

Morrowind W/O mods > Oblivion W/O mods Morrowind Story/Setting > Oblivion Story/Setting Oblivion Gameplay/Combat > Morrowind Gameplay/Combat Oblivion Quest Structuring > Morrowind Quest Structuring Oblivion modded to fix stupid stuff > Morrowind modded to fix stupid stuff Basically, Morrowind is well written and the environments are well designed, but the gameplay is horrendously dated. Oblivion has far better combat/gameplay, but the environments consist of "Forest, Hell, Forest, Cave, Hell, Forest" and the towns are cookiecutter with no personality. If you mod all the stupid stuff out, Oblivion sits above morrowind for sheer fact that it's base mechanics are better. Standing point blank and attacking someone will not register a miss like in morrowind. But it's less interesting character wise and environment wise, the thieves/assassin guild quest trees are pretty good but those are most interesting bits of the game without KotN or SI.

    Mecha Update

Used to, not anymore. Also resists don't totally screw soldiers with shotguns, or Axting/Shotgun Pyros since they don't rely on fire damage anyway. Besides, a Medic/anything pair tends to roll any loners they come against.

    Mecha Update

They either say "This thing sucks balls, it can't kill anything and the healing is worthless." Or they say "This thing is OP, you shouldn't be able to heal or haul at range and this does both!"

    Rescue Ranger totally balanced

Sounds like you can be a real Rescue Ranger when not humping your buildings. Good luck trying to build anything after rescuing a building though, costs 130 metal and marks you for death until 3 seconds after you put it down.

    Mecha Update

Because now you can run around and do other things while healing your sentry on the rooftop. Edit: I notice it has 50% less reserve ammo, only 16 shots in reserve. Also you're marked for death ANY time you move gear, not just when using the teleporter function.

    Mecha Update

So there's new announcer lines for Mecha Engineers. Mecha Engies also instantly deploy L3 Sentries (same as if regular engie had redeployed a hauled L3.) After they pootis Sentry they Pootis Teleporter, the teleporter starts in robospawn and pops out at the mecha engie's nest. If you don't kill the teleporter Fast enough a giant column of light shines down upon it showing you where it is. Seems like this map caters to spy and sniper. Long sight lines, infiltrating roboengie nests while rest of team holes up in base. Also Mecha Engie has no voice Filter, Also Mecha Engies will use other Mecha Engie Teleporters leading to horrible teleporter chain reactions where robots skip like half the map. It's more like a 4 shot Crusader's Crossbow for buildings. It heals roughly one wrench swing or so per hit. It only does 40ish damage and you have to compensate for drop over longer distances. Teleporting a building with it Costs 130 metal meaning you can't build anything after doing it. It seems balanced to me. Maybe not in huge enginests, but why would we balance around that? Not as reliable as the shotgun, but you can range out and fight people while being able to worry less about having to contantly jag off your sentry. Using it to Sentry jump and then Teleport a L3 seems like more the issue to me, since you can poop it on a building and heal it from far away.

Weapons -New Engi gun is a Slightly Different, and worse, Frontier Justice. -New Demogun is a GL with round bombs and no direct hits, only timed detonations. -New Medigun deals damage instead of healing. MVM -Engibot teleporter glitch wherein map is put into an unwinnable state. -Tank is not replaced by giant Mecha-Engie

    Lego Team Deathmatch
  21. Game where you play as robocop in the near future shooting terrorists in yellow pantsuits. You think it would be cool to be a robocop, but you can't even use your powers until you go on a scavenger hunt for blue kool-aid cans. The shooting is really bad too, you have to sit perfectly still for about 10 years just to make your gun accurate enough to bodyshot someone, whereas the enemy can headshot you from across the map in an instant. Then they tried to put rpg elements in, but half the skills are useless and you'll end up hoarding enough items to make the other half useless too. Game where you play as the world's worst spy. You're expected to fight supervillains but all they send you in with is a knife and a never ending appetite for wild animals. Then this obvious imposter spy gives you a gun and says "go swim with the crocodiles for a while!". If you manage to get through all that crap you have to fight this tool with a cheerleader squad, but the fight gets cut short by this douche with a bee fetish. They say it's supposed to be a stealth game, but you spend most of the time in the menu changing clothes so it's more like a dress up game than anything.

    Recommend everything!

Shows I like that others may like. Samurai Jack -The Famous animated Cartoon from the Early 2000s. Still a very very good show. Megas XLR -A show about a gamer/gearhead who pilots a robot with a muscle car for a head. Pokes fun at various cartoon cliches and has good humor and fun action. Superjail -Willy Wonka's Murder Factory, get your daily fill of turbo violence and a warden who disregards all metaphysical laws. Not for the faint of heart. Metalocalypse -Pokes fun at metal band Cliches and delivers it in a dark humor filled package. Some of the jokes will go missed if you're not a metal fan. Games people should really play Stacking -Doublefine exploration based puzzle game. It's fairly short, but full of tons of charm and typical doublefine inventiveness. Plus it's just a joy to explore the levels, like those old collect-a-thons, but without the collecting. Metro 2033 -A very atmospheric and story driven FPS, also part of the Humble THQ bundle. It might be linear, but it presents itself incredibly well. An adaptation from the book, they've done a great job keeping to the source material while still making a fantastic shooter. Time Gentlemen, Please! -A point 'n click adventure from within the last decade. Clever puzzles, and makes jabs at improbable point 'n click logic. Recommended to any point 'n click adventure fans, others may find it boring.
