Has anyone had any experiencing helping an internet friend with depression? I've known this one for many years and we "know" each other beyond our online shenanigans. He's in a rut where he's just getting by, but has zero motivation to do anything. I've dealt with exactly what he's going through, but I'm really at a loss. He's in the US if that helps.

So there's been a smell in my apartment building for the past few days. Our province is literally on fire, so best guess was little ash fragments in the air clogging up the plumbing exhaust filter. They did an apartment check today to see if it was anyone hoarding garbage. Someone has died. He was young. The smell was him. And it's still here.
