At least you're not a friend of mine who struggled to write his name in Cantonese for a college professor who had the same name and also knew Cantonese.

    Hello everyone.

You got to admit she looks pretty healthy for 91. And I just googled what she looked like in the 50s. Dear god. Getting old is just terrible.

  8. This. Also, muscle mass effects weight. Body builders can be considered overweight. It's a very loose term and doesn't necessarily mean full of lard.
  9. Question, Raz, where do you get this bullshit "60% of Americans are obese" stuff? I hear everywhere, from every study that it's just a bit over a third. Probably because I can't go a day without some asshole wanting me to die a horrible death and calling me fat and stupid because of the fucking chunk of land I live on. It's pure bigotry, and it needs to go away. I have the same response to bigotry in general. Fuck it. I am bigoted against bigots. There is no bigger hot button that that for me. It doesn't matter who it's aimed at.
  10. Which is fucking stupid because most Americans have absolutely no control over the stupid shit their government does. Kind of proves that ignorance is a world wide phenomenon. But okay, sure, hating makes everything better. Of course it actually is completely logical to hate the political side of the nation. Okay, let's not even go there because people are going to say I'm wrong.
  11. I don't actually understand why NK is trying to be so at odds with us. Is it purely for the brainwashing, or what? Do they feel safe under China's wing? Are they aware of the huge ties between the US and China? Are they just really that dumb (the government) that they won't let go what happened decades ago and take China's coming in to save their ass as some kind of sign that they're the greatest nation to ever exist and they need to make a show to appear that way? DPRK, you crazy.
  12. Am I the only one glad that we have them thinking we're their arch enemy? Nobody here actually cares about NK other than what the population suffers through. It's cute, and it amuses me. Not the suffering, the government. I can see why they say these things, though. It's propaganda for their own people. They want them to think that NK is a super-power and that it's in a locked good vs evil battle with a mighty tyrannical nation. I still think we should actually start up an air-pirate program. Anybody want to join me on our own Spufpowered ship? We can raid the North Korean air merchants and bed harpy prostitutes wenches.

    Fallout TV Series?

"Today we discuss the State versus Stamda. Stamda is accused of premeditated murder, and general public disturbance. Prosecution, state your case." *Long list of evidence* "Defense, please present your plea." "Sir, what the Prosecution fails to realize is my client currently has 2,982 rep on the SpufPowered Forums, while they have little over 87." "Is that all the Defense has to say?" "Yes, your honor." "Has the jury reached a verdict, then?" "Under light of the evidence presented, the jury finds the Defendant innocent of all charges." "Case dismissed." What a simple world that would be. Terrible. Absolutely terrible. But simple.

Kayohgee you are a man after my own heart except - Fallout doesn't take place in the 50s. 50s culture just didn't end. The war happened in 2077. </pedant> I've pretty much become a douchebag in the eyes of this forum SO WHY STOP NOW? And in regards to your scenario: That in of itself was fucking gold! AND DO YOU SEE NOW, RYNJIN? DO YA UNDERSTAND?

    Doodle Or Die

You don't have to be a good artist. In fact, it's better to be terrible. It's basically telephone. Somebody starts a chain with a drawing or text, and somebody responds the best way they can. If it's a drawing they respond with text, and vice versa. Most chains end with ponies, Homestuck, Purple and Green, and racism. Sometimes all at once. Go http://doodleordie.com/play

    Fallout TV Series?

I see. The only problem is Brotherhood of Steel (Note: not Tactics: Brotherhood of Steel) was a pretty awful spinoff that is hardly considered canon. It's a theory, though. And fine. Agree to disagree on everything, I guess. I'll try and find a new series to enjoy if Fallout 4 turns out to be wackier than ever. Yaaaay, we had another argument! I don't think I insulted you, though. I MUST CORRECT THIS. RYNJIN YOU FUCKING SACK OF SHIT. GO DIE. amidoinitrite? I would give you rep for a decent argument but I need to spread it. Bah.

    Fallout TV Series?

I'm not saying change is bad, I'm saying too much change is bad. Fallout needs to be serious at heart, at least. It needs to be more about morals than shiny guns. Otherwise it just becomes Borderlands. I love Borderlands, I do, but Borderlands is Borderlands. Fallout is Fallout. I'm not in the same group, but I completely understand why the old school fans are so mad at Bethesda. They took their favorite toy and drastically changed it to sell to an entirely new crowd. You can understand that, can't you? Alright, but the Outcast doesn't have anywhere near as much blood on their hands as the original BoS. I'd like sources for this. Not saying I don't believe you, but, please. Not really. The Legion and House, and most other factions were entirely new. Not to mention all of the Mojave. Which is more than what Bethesda did, actually, when it came to story. It's like Bethesda went "See? This is Fallout! Look, these are those factions that you know about, but in a different place!" It was like a way to try and placate the old fans because they had changed so much of the gameplay and theme. In New Vegas, the only three that made an appearance in the previous games were the NCR, Followers, and the Crimson Caravan, and those three are very closely binned together. Marcus was the only other relic I can think of. The rest is just references to places and people that exist, but they don't actually make an appearance. Though I do admit they were purposefully trying to make it as close to Fallout 1/2 as possible without being ridiculous. It was always called "the coming home." They wanted to do something for the old fans that had been trampled on by Bethesda.

    Fallout TV Series?

Yeah, I know, but I don't understand why FEV was even on the east coast. It was supposed to be a secret military project being researched in Mariposa. I can't even find an explanation on the wiki. It only explains that it was forcibly used on the Vault's inhabitants. It doesn't explain how Vault-Tec got their hands on it or why they got their hands on it.

    Fallout TV Series?

Had to be changed? Sure, but they could've at least been more respectful to established lore. It also didn't have to be goofy. They could've kept it mostly semi-serious. It's not hard to write a serious story. And if you want a good representation of Fallout 2 then look at Wild Wasteland. The reason that was a trait is because Chris Avellone, who had worked on 2, remembered the backlash some of the community gave him for being a bit goofy. There was actually some non-serious stuff in New Vegas. Stuff like Dr. Fantastic, some of the speech options, and Raul's Vaquero outfit off the of my head. Fantastic is the only really major one in that list, but there were others, definitely. However the much goofier stuff was hidden behind in Wild Wasteland. And, hey, New Vegas proves you don't have to completely change things. The lead designer, Josh Sawyer, had only worked on the cancelled Fallout 3, Van Buren. Avellone didn't work on Fallout, only Fallout 2. The only people on Obsidian's team that actually worked on Fallout 1 were Brian Menze, and Feargus Urquhart. Realize that Urquhart, though, was in a primarily management position on both, though. I think there was one other but I can't remember his name. All I remember is Avellone telling me he was there when I asked about it before New Vegas' release. They had a "Ask the Devs" session on BGSF. I'm pretty sure that one who stayed by your side was the commanding officer. And I actually distinctly remember more than one.

    Fallout TV Series?

Correction: Some of the members of the BoS were dicks. As a whole they were goody goody flawless white knights. That's the point. Nobody was perfect. If Veronica is not your companion then they slap a slave collar on you and tell you to kill a man escaping the storm in a nearby bunker before they let you off. You can talk him into leaving, but the BoS tell you to kill him. One rogue guy and his buddies compared to the several who fought with you. It was hardly what the Outcasts as a whole were about. Less soul? This argument is only going to be entirely subjective so let's not go there. Right, sorry. No, the originals and NV were still fictional and retro futuristic. The only thing they were more grounded in reality in was basic human morals and desires and the basic needs of a people surviving in a wasteland. Goofy is not bad, but too goofy is for a series that's supposed to have a serious undertone. You really just want Fallout to be something for you, but in doing that you're taking away what it is, what it actually is, for the rest of us. Based on what you've said - we do. Even if Bethesda is involved I highly doubt they'll have final say. Look at TES:O. TES is Bethesda's flagship series and they're only really advisors for the lore department. The loremaster of TES:O is somebody nobody has heard of and they outright refused to accept the help of the ex-dev responsible for most of the series' lore. They have completely contradicted things that have been proven as fact in the universe. And Bethesda is definitely not perfect. They have their formula down, but they have plenty of flaws. Using their published games isn't a good example since Bethesda Softworks is the publisher, not Bethesda Game Studios which are the makers of TES and Fallout 3. If the series is animated that gives me some hope. However, Three Dog making an appearance doesn't unless he's the narrator or has a quick cameo. I'd rather they go somewhere new and untouched rather than stay in DC.
