    Just a heads up, depending on your company, this is risky. It depends on their reasons for migrating to the new network, but this could be seen as bypassing company security policies and that can be a fireable offense (i've seen it). You could mostly likely just play dumb if they spot you, though. In your situation it would be hard pressed to say you're actually bypassing anything. "Oh, my PC never changed" should be fine. But I thought I'd point it out.

    tfw you work for a government agency's IT dept.

     

    That contact policy is pretty bog standard, though. But escalation should be way easier, and they shouldn't close the ticket after just offering a potential solution. That kind of stuff reflects on the entire industry, so it triggers me.

    Since it's read-only, can you see the password saved? Or is it WPA2-Enterprise? Either way, it sounds like you have the most incompetent IT department in the world.  Ezpz fix by logging in to their auth server, going "yep, lots of authentication errors," and doing literally anything at all other than blaming the graphics drivers (wtf??). Like, that's a 30 minute fix. Worst case, they re-image your laptop. Boom done.

     

    Unfortunately if the GPO set it to read-only, it's read-only. I don't think there's anything you could do aside from re-install Windows and have it totally ditch the profile.

     

    If you can view the credentials on the profile, have you sent them a screenshot with a big red arrow saying "THIS IS WRONG"?

    I'd recommend it to anyone who doesnt gets afraid of death.

    If your ears are hurting, you need to equalize. Did you take a course or was this an "Experience Scuba!" type thing? Either way cool! Welcome to the world of being an ugly fish.

    Vancouver Island is kind of big. It's roughly the same square mileage as Maryland. And crews mostly stick to the wilderness or fancy buildings (like part of Deadpool 2 was filmed at a college). They might shut down a small town road for 30 minutes once in a blue moon but you probably won't be there at the time.  I've only seen two filming crew related things in person and both of them were for things that probably shouldn't exist (Sonic included), though I've only lived here since 2013.

     

    Might change, though, since Vancouver is apparently becoming way more expensive for film studios and so a lot of them are moving filming over here since the terrain is the same. I did just recently move to Victoria, though, and being an actual city means it will probably see more stuff.

    Fun fact: Sonic was filmed primarily on Vancouver Island - where I live. And especially in a little town called Ladysmith, that I've driven through a ton. 

     

    The town is dead to me.

    I just watched Six-String Samurai (no, it's not an anime) last night. I've been wanting to see the movie for years but had trouble finding it ( but apparently it's up in its entirety on Youtube, so...). I was not disappoint. It's low-budget b movie greatness. I found it on disk in the cult section of the local movie rental store.

     

    Synopsis: Post-apocalyptic Nevada (yes, there's a reference to it in F:NV). What remains of the US has been taken over by Russians. The only bastion of freedom is Lost Vegas, run by Elvis as the King. Elvis dies, and so does his heir. A call goes out for a new king. The protagonist, Buddy, and other independent hopefuls attempt to reach Vegas and claim the title while being hunted and killed by Literally Death.

    You know how in that latest LazyPurple video he talks about how his muscle memory was shit and just leading shots nearly doubled his aim until he could flick again?

     

    So I tried just leading shots and it nearly doubled my aim.
