There was also something about a weirdly edited version of the Pink Elephants sequence from Dumbo playing on TV, but I was much more interested in my impromptu physics lesson.

Lately I've had recurring dreams about camping. They're clearly influenced by memories from a camping trip my family takes every year, although the camp where the dreams take place doesn't exist in the real world. The strange thing is, the people and locations are almost all made up, but I always recognize them from the last time I was "there".
