This. I think it usually depends on the game and what it's trying to be, but at the end of the day I will value a game that is fun to play but has a crappy story over a game with a great story and terrible gameplay.

Meh. At least he HAS a personality, unlike Ketchum over there. Actually, you know what, this game would be a lot better if Ash Ketchum was one of the characters. And Team Rocket could show up to cause trouble once in a while. I can start working next week, Telltale.

Nope. And Ash is doing nothing to make me interested in checking it out. His voice actor sounds bored, and he hasn't had any funny lines. Ok, so maybe he kills things too, I guess. But that's hardly a notable thing amongst the patrons of the Inventory.

Ok. First impressions of these characters: Sam - You are awesome as usual. Good thinking bringing Max along so you could do your familiar straight-man routine without seeming out-of-place. Brock - Patrick Warburton. 'Nuff said. Claptrap - Telltale had a chance to show me why I should consider buying Borderlands. They failed. Ash - Uh, what's this guy's deal? He has a robot arm and a girlfriend...that's all I'm getting from him. GLaDOS - You are just as beautiful as the day I first met you. If only you could understand how much I love you.

I picture all of the dialogue being punctuated with awkward silence where the forced laughter is supposed to be.
