I like some FPS (TF2, CoD 1 & 2, a few other ones) mostly strategy and a rare time I open up a RPG (for example Skyrim & Oblivion) If Portal counts I like that too. I like games that copy the Minecraft formulae, and add more onto it (Because, lets face it, Minecrafts combat system is terrible). That is, games like Terraria, its in 2D, but the combat system more than makes up for it. And Brick Force, a nice FPS game with easy map making for anyone (Learning for example Hammer is very hard for some) I also like some other games, like Worms and Assassins Creed, the odd indie game (a la Dungeons of Dredmor) etc. My favorite games has to be some C&C (Including Red Alert, Generals etc), maybe Dune, Populous (The Beginning most), WC3 & SC1 (All those new genres) and finally TF2, one of those games I never get tired of. (Basically strategy games are awesome and usually moddable) Other than that I play some random games sometimes. Btw I am bound to miss at least some of the great games (I didn't even mention Age of Mythology even though I love it for example )(Though I mentioned it now)
