So, update. My old laptop went caput, and we went out and got a new machine. Its got windows 8. I may write a mini-review on that later. For now, I'm seting it to dual-boot Win 8 and Ubuntu.

Ooh, thanks! I was trying to figure out a good interface. Think I'll go with Xfce. Update/Edit: Editig from the desktop! Seems fairly easy so far. Probably install xfce and steam tonight, then let my laptop cool down. I think the fan's broken, was kinda hoping this would help.
