I prefer Highlander to 6v6 because it keeps the general spirit of TF2. 6v6 is a bit too competitive. (Referring to the fact that you can't have every class in game, and the main ones are all classes I don't main.)

clientregestry.blob I think. -
Pyro, engi, maybe soly demo, or medic. That is, if I can make any of the matches.

He's seen on the TF2 boards a lot during ARG time as well.

Terran Republic is the best Empire. And should we go for US East 1?
-
Awww, now I have to switch servers. Oh well, it's worth it! Blank is credit to Terran Republic! (right? )

Finally found a link to that post, thanks Cactus. I had a feeling this might be happening, but honestly I think it was more of an oversight on their part. They're trying to have uniformity. (Discussions are everywhere now.) However, this system is nothing compared to the forums. The one thing that bugs me is that they seem to dislike the forums. "So you don't have to go all the way to the Steam Users Forums." That was the first warning. They're acting like its a hassle to go to the forums. I just wonder how long it will be before it becomes a ghost town. With no new members (Nothing links to SUF anymore- no "Forums" link in the store, or in the game information), eventually the discussions will gain ground. I'm not opposed to moving there, they just really need to improve the structure before that happens. And add rep. Actually, they need to add rep to steam in general. But I do agree that it's time to show 'em that we still are here, and that we aren't going anywhere. (That means get to work on the Community Challenge )

Have I ever mentioned how much I hate networking? Like really, really hate networking?:rage:I wish I could clone networking, set it on fire, push it off a cliff, then send it flying off a ramp into a bottomless pit. Then convince it's clone to cooperate, or I'll clone the clone, set it on fire, push it off a cliff, then send it flying off a ramp into a bottomless pit, and convince the clone's clone to cooperate. Repeat until clients connect.Edit: Update: Finally got it working . Currently runs though port 10006, so this so inclined may want to forward that. As soon as i have it in anything near a presentable state, I'll let you all know. Now, I vanish into the no-contact zone of an Alpha.

That's true. I read a few articles about it, and there really are more ways to raise enough money. One of the developers interveiwed said, "If you can't raise the $100 through a simle donation button, your game probably isn't ready." Which it really wouldn't be. I don't know, I still think $100 is still a bit steep. Something like $50 would be much more practical, frankly. It also looks like they reduced the number of votes required to get on to steam, so that's good.

I WAS FRAMED, I TELL YA!

Well, not exactly, now that I reread it. I was going more for a kinda Super Smash Bros, but with SPUF. Granted, its early enough in development that it go any way, actually.

I got some work done! I *think* I have multiplayer working, I'll have to test it non-locally later. I went ahead and combined the two, sort of. I have a server and client program, which you can run the server locally for a listen server, or alone for a dedicated server. Still working on getting it to work globally, but may be open for testing later today.
