Have I ever mentioned how much I hate networking? Like really, really hate networking?:rage:I wish I could clone networking, set it on fire, push it off a cliff, then send it flying off a ramp into a bottomless pit. Then convince it's clone to cooperate, or I'll clone the clone, set it on fire, push it off a cliff, then send it flying off a ramp into a bottomless pit, and convince the clone's clone to cooperate. Repeat until clients connect.Edit: Update: Finally got it working . Currently runs though port 10006, so this so inclined may want to forward that. As soon as i have it in anything near a presentable state, I'll let you all know. Now, I vanish into the no-contact zone of an Alpha.

That's true. I read a few articles about it, and there really are more ways to raise enough money. One of the developers interveiwed said, "If you can't raise the $100 through a simle donation button, your game probably isn't ready." Which it really wouldn't be. I don't know, I still think $100 is still a bit steep. Something like $50 would be much more practical, frankly. It also looks like they reduced the number of votes required to get on to steam, so that's good.

I WAS FRAMED, I TELL YA!

Well, not exactly, now that I reread it. I was going more for a kinda Super Smash Bros, but with SPUF. Granted, its early enough in development that it go any way, actually.

I got some work done! I *think* I have multiplayer working, I'll have to test it non-locally later. I went ahead and combined the two, sort of. I have a server and client program, which you can run the server locally for a listen server, or alone for a dedicated server. Still working on getting it to work globally, but may be open for testing later today.

Well, they just made it cost $100 to post a new game. Im not sure if this counts created but not posted (as I have OMP set up), im yet to try. Im not sure how I feel about this, honestly. Yes, it will cut down on spam or jokes, but I feel some better moderation, or maybe a smaller fee would have been better. Good for the comunity, not great for devs. :/

Alright, I'm going to try to get started on this at some point tomorrow. I just have a question on which method of hosting I should implement:A) Listen Servers- A host starts a local server on their computer, and everyone else joins this server. -Pros: On demand- Can be up any time you need -Cons: Requires port forwarding. The host also cannot leave mid game, or the session will end. Dedicated server- A separate program that runs a listen server apart from the game. -Pros: I can try to have one of these up on my machine early on, and I could make it host multiple games. Technically doesn't need you to open ports. -Cons: Not on demand, unless you want to run your own, which still requires port forwarding.C) I find some way to incorporate both. I still need one of the above to start with at least. Also, How many players should it hold? I was thinking 4 originally, but I think I could work with up to maybe 6.

Sorry for the poor quality. The in-game recorder still isn't working, so I had to tone down some settings so I could be somewhat effective. And it may not seem all that exciting, because it really wasn't. That's the way it goes occasionally.

What would the timing entail? Is this a single match, will be be precticing, ect.Depending on that, I'd be willing to Pyro or Engi. -
General tips of what not to do based on personal experience:-Know when to get the heck back to your tower. People will yell at you if you dont.-Listen to your teammates, and keep an eye on them. People will yell at you if you dont.-Dont feed the other team. People will yell at you.-Buy stuff. Dont deviate from the recommend items list. People will yell at you.-Never. Ever. Feed. The. Tiny. You will die, and people will yell at you.-Dont worry when people yell at you, but listen to what they say.-Go play some bot matches. Like a lot of them. Bots dont yell at you.
