Thats correct.Also, here's my thoughts for what will happen after 1.3 hits:I will update the server to 1.3 vanilla for a while, same map, everything.I'll follow bukkit/plugin updates then, until there is a stable version for 1.3. (I may occasionally swap the regular server with a "test build" to see what works n' stuff during this.)Then, I'll move the main server to bukkit, and wipe the map to get the new terrain generation features (Sorry I'll keep a backup for a while, though), and switch the world type to Large Biomes as well.Plugin/permissions fixingElect a moderator or two.Plugins I'll probably be using:Essentials (Includes Warps, Economy, Shops, and a whole ton of stuff that makes my life easier.)Some Spleef plugin (We'll see what gets updated first)Creeperheal (If they update it. )Maybe some others if you guys want.

We did get news, just not directly from Valve. I count that as news.

That would be my main issue then. Valve's whole philosophy was that you can get every game-play affecting item free (and somewhat easily.) Yes, you could trade for them, but that's still "spending money." Someone had to buy a key, and so on. So if you can craft/drop them, maybe. I think it would make more sense to just drop the attribute (read: special name color), and make them normal weapons with those stats.

Good idea, but I don't think it works with the drop system. How do you find them? Also, there needs to be some indication of how powerful you are.
