That would be my main issue then. Valve's whole philosophy was that you can get every game-play affecting item free (and somewhat easily.) Yes, you could trade for them, but that's still "spending money." Someone had to buy a key, and so on. So if you can craft/drop them, maybe. I think it would make more sense to just drop the attribute (read: special name color), and make them normal weapons with those stats.

Good idea, but I don't think it works with the drop system. How do you find them? Also, there needs to be some indication of how powerful you are.
