Trying to decide on that. I was thinking that you would have something that builds sentries for your primary, and a dispenser for secondary. (There's no need for teleporters.) I'll probably include a few different types of sentries, like mini-sentries and flamethrowing sentries. Depending on balance, you may have more than 1 out at a time, or they might deconstruct after a certain time. Dispensers will function as normal.Stickys will have a set distance that they travel before "sticking," probably about 4 spaces ahead of you. They will have damage and knockback when they explode. I'm working on getting knockback applied to yourself, so that sticky"jumping" (it'll be more like boosting) will be possible. Rockets will have a similar mechanic, except they have a larger blast radius and only explode when they hit something.

Ah, alright, I see. Ya, that can be done! Also, great news: I added air-blasts! Very entertaining...:D

Just made this one... +1 Internets to the first one to name the video.

This thread is now about abandoning the thread.

Oh my. That would be terrifying.... What if it was earlier on, and some of them were re-used as much tougher enemies?Like it, though.Or they could be the bosses of their respective sub-forums, then you have to fight all three of them later on.

I prefer Pyro and Engi, because I feel they have the most cerebral playstyles. (medic is a close second) They both require a lot of enemy and map knowledge, and can be very useful in all situations with multiple load outs. Engineer's place sentries in high-traffic areas, teleporters and dispensers where needed. (The sign of a good engi is one who places a teleporter immediately after leaving spawn, and has it up before fully upgrading their sentry.) Pyro's are the masters of flanking, and must know every single nook and cranny of a map. With classes, engineers must be able to spot spies from miles away, and dispose of them quickly. I've developed this sense as a pyro as well, although it's not as necessary. Pyro can theoretically win a one-on-one with any class, it's just a matter of knowing how.

I'll be trying to get some more work done tonight or later today, but to help keep everyone up to date, here's the Steam Group.

Sounds great! It'll take some work, so I'm going to wait a bit to add it.

someone needs to make a tinfoil hat, and give it to everyone with more than 999 posts on spuf.

1. Good, will do. 2. Already done, I forgot to mention it 3. Probably. It might be a debuf for classes not using them, so you don't have scouts running around with flamethrowers. Also, would levels do anything? That could be added.

Alright, so here's an update! [*]I added a new enemy (was working on it before it was suggested anyway, lol), Large Spycrabs. Have appx. 600 HP, move a bit slower. Also do more damage. They will always spawn when a rock is shot, along with about 5 regular spycrabs, who now have increased speed. [*]I also finally got around to adding actual health and damage to the player, hence the spycrab adjustments. [*]Rep now uses the regular image (scales) and will disappear after some time. [*] To simplify some stuff a bit, ALL classes can use ALL weapons. That means you won't be toting around a flamethrower and not be able to use it. Classes are selected at the begining of the game, and are constrained to the following: [*]Scout: +25% move speed -25 base health [*]Soldier: -25% move speed +50 base health [*]Pyro: Base [*]Engineer: Base, Has sentries [*]Demoman: -20% Move speed +40 base health [*]Heavy: -30% move speed, +75 health [*](Sorry, no sniper, spy, or medic. Their weapons will be available for use, however.)
-
Pretty much. Drawbacks include, however: [*]Console quality graphics. [*]Occasional lag-outs [*]Always need internet [*]I believe there's a monthly fee.

They have machines set up to run the games, but streams it to your screen. So you could essentially play Crysis on a netbook.

I am actually the worlds most average-intelligence supercomputer. sssssh, don't tell the government.

Ah, lol, I understand, the key is still yours, btw. that sounds a whole lot like css to me anyway...

Ya, id prefer that whoever gets it will actualty use it.

Indeed he does. I can't give it right now, I'm away from my home computer.

Thanks for that code, worked like a charm after a few modifications! Little glitch I had gave me an idea. What if we had had an area where they migrate to a random section of the room?

Ill let you borrow mine yesterday.

It may not be soon, but I will look into it...I'll crack open those authoring tools to get reacquainted in the meantime.(Could someone post what those acronyms are, exactly?)
-
Wow, thanks guys! I certainly would like to do it! I think the other people mentioned would be excellent choices as well.

Can We Talk About Signatures For A Second?

Mine was bigger, but I figured this was plenty. I'll probably re-do my code snippets shorter, though.
