I say we all change our avatars to these new versions.

I am far from every cosmetic item, but I'm trying to go for at least all weapons first.

My thoughts on the current state of the SPUF NOTSRS Server.
Binary posted a topic in Team Fortress 2.5
I just finished a round or two on the un-serious server, and I really think something needs to be done. As someone put it, "the mood got really cold." and frankly, it really has. People have been kicked very soon after they joined, with little to no (and I mean a rapid 20-second countdown) of a warning. Granted, the votekick is useful in the long run, and I'm glad its in, but I feel that there might be a bit of persecution of newcomers. Almost "Do what we are doing RIGHT NOW or be gone forever." It make me feel a bit sorry for them, I almost got kicked myself. This restriction suddenly made us stuck in the same thing for quite a while. I saw a demonight, and a few other classes, but as soon as the joined, because they weren't doing what we were doing, they were gone. I think the only way to really solve it is to actually define, what it is exactly IS not serious. I think that the motd needs to be changed to explain it, and if that doesn't work, get a plugin that reads the rules then they join. Also, I think at least a small amount of rules should be added or enforced. If I may, (and I will most likely edit as suggestions come in) post a description and rules below. Rules: [*]Listen to admins [*]If you aren't interested in joining in on a activity, please do not interfere with others doing so. [*]If someone wishes not to be killed, respect that. (and that some of us have gotten a bit heavy handed on the votekick button...) -
Da. This is true. Look for servers that have the new steam voice stuff disabled.

what happened to the thread about the creepy micspammer on the spufserver?
Binary replied to Nitzan's topic in Team Fortress 2.5
Hmm, I wonder what they'll do now. The original thread got closed. -
Ya know what? Let me finish at least one of my current projects, and I'll take a look at making this! (But don't tell the Portal 2 forums, I haven't finished Aperture Birds yet.) I unfortunately cant do the Steam related stuff, though...

Unfortunately, I believe this is the most logical explanation. However, it still won't stop me from organizing a medic party and blasting ghost busters while healing him.... -

I think the first part. I don't think the password is necessary, if we add a bit of information to the MOTD so people know what they're getting into.edit: great to hear the change! also, who's the new admin? -

Actually, we've found that is a viable way to get serious people to leave... Generally, we try not to spam over eachother. -
I had a really cheesy name, back when I began using the internet- it was "kongu 12345" (I really liked legos back then, google if unaware.). So, I used it on everything. The first place I moved to binary was probably twitter, then steam, then everything after that. I kinda just liked the way it sounded. And yes, my signature is true. People have actually asked me if I can code in binary, and not even in a joking manner. Kinda sad really.... I do, however, make games in my spare time.

I agree. As long as a mod has been on, it has been fine, a la last night.I would also second any motion for Buddhazilla to moderate. He and myself are on at the same time frequently, which also happens to be a time when mod counts are low.I'm not so sure about the group thing though. A password would be difficult to change that frequently. But the events certainly are a great idea. I think the password (if used) should be changed weekly and be posted on the front page of the steam group and subSPUF. and tell people to not re-post the password. All in all, I think there's a certain way we all know that it should be run, but new people don't. -
0.0 I remember that! that was in the same pack as SkiFree! That yeti still haunts me.....

The most terrifying thing to ever happen to you ingame.

Fighting a soldier as pyro, almost got the guy dead. Suddenly, he fires a critrocket. No problem, plenty of space to reflect.*click*ammo=10 -
same here. unless you guys have an opinion on me?

Actually a ton of fun, but the learning curve is more of a cliff. Well, more like the Maianas Tench minus the water. Being chased by people with spinfusors and jetpacks.

It really is a great game. I didn't like it at first, but it grows on you after a while. Singleplayer is good, But multiplayer certainly take the cake. I think they need to update the demo, because it really isn't a good demonstration of what it now is.
