Here's a tip: Craft. Craft a lot. Get the molotov or sound thingy, and use them. Don't get concerned with doing it "right," just get it done.

I think the problem is the fact that BL2 has had so much DLC. If you compare the base, release day BL2 to TPS, then it looks like a justifiable sequel. With what it is now, it's like 2 sets of DLC.
