[spoiler2]I honestly think mine looks better, too. Mine: Theirs: I think the proportions are better, honestly. I also have a reddit post to prove I was first to the idea. I might take it up with them if I'm feeling particularly bold.[/spoiler2] Just got an E-mail back from them. Seems that they actually did prefer the other one, and time was not the only factor. Gah, I love SOE. I got a reply in like 10 minutes, and they also listed off all the animals that they did not have submissions for yet.

You know it has to be done. I added it because I liked it, wasn't sure if you would re-submit it. This is a suggestion thread to get them added to the list.

So I want grey camo, and instead of being selfish and making "binarysalt1" and "binarysalt2" for referrals, I've decided to hold a little contest. The two people who make the best TR propaganda will get a SOE account with $10 of Station cash on it. gogogogogo. Alternatly if anyone feels really nice and wants to do it themselves, pls click.

Well, rather than spam this subsection with a bunch of topics whenever I feel like writing something, I figured I might as well just confine them into one thread. So, wot I think on: -Windows 8 -Apple (Coming Soon) -Raspberry Pi Feel free to suggest topics and give feedback! WOT I THINK OF WINDOWS 8: I recently bought a new laptop that just so happens to have windows 8 pre-installed. I was planning on simply installing linux and leaving a dual boot whenever I wanted to play something unsupported. Well, do to my lack of disks, I'm going to have to wait a bit before that will happen, so I figured I might as well try out Windows 8. So, starting up, it asks you to connect a windows (x-box, live, ect). I forgot my password, so it made a new one for me or something. Not really encouraging, but OK. Then I meet the main screen... What the heck am I doing? So, there's these "tile" things, that are like desktop icons, but widgets. Kinda. Its cool I guess. Click on one, and it opens the program in fullscreen. That's nice, It came with a large screen, so it looks great. But wait, I want to use another program. Oh, you move the mouse to the side of the screen and it lists them. Alright, I can live with that. But how do I get back to the cool tile thing? Oh, the bottom corner. Then How do I get to those tiles off screen? I cant click and drag or anything, but the keys seem to works. That's kinda clunky though... ------------- So, the new interface is certainly different. It works well, once you figure out what you're doing. I don't see it being awesome for multitasking, but we'll see. That being said, you can always go to the desktop, which is identical to windows 7, sans start menu, and carry about business as usual. Actually, you'll probably find yourself here quite a bit, because any app that doesn't run in fullscreen (as in, came from the "microsoft app store"), will default to the desktop to run, like Steam and Chrome. Boot times are BIT better, but nothing massively noticeable. The lock screen is a bit awkward with a touchpad, as you have to swipe up to unlock it. Oh, almost forgot touch controls. Those are awesome, if you have them. The whole thing was clunky and annoying, until I realized my track pad was multitouch. You navigate everything better with gestures, rather than clicking and dragging. Pros: [*]Looks great, speedy [*]Windows 7 + a new interface. [*]Fun, once you figure it out [*]HOW THE HECK DO I DO THAT??!! [*]Clunky without touch controls [*]App store is meh Overall: Its a nice tablet OS. Clearly, a lot of work went into this, and for what it was made for, it works superbly. Its quick, easy, and fun. On a touchscreen. Its a bit better with trackpad gestures, but honestly, its just windows 7. If you don't have touch capability, the new interface is just annoying, and you're better off sticking with Windows 7.

Wot I think: Leap Motion Controller AKA Poor man's kinnect. kinda. Introduction: So I went out sorta on a whim and bought one of these for $80 at my local best buy. Its about 3x1x.5", with two different lengths of USB cable. Got a few lights to show status and such, fits nicely in front of my keyboard. It uses UV rays or something to detect hand movements, which is translated into software. General thoughts: As it has been noted a few times in reviews, the main point of the Leap is not the hardware, but the software. As such, you need a strong PC, and USB 3.0. I tried to use it on my laptop, which is both weaker and only supports 2.0, and hand a pretty poor experience. Software runs slower, and the tracking really sufferers. But, on my home rig, the software is rather impressive. On fluid movements, such as moving my hand like the cursor, or swiping movements, its is rather impressive. Finger recognition (holding up 1, or 2 fingers, for instance) is responsive and accurate. However, fast movements, such as swiping, tapping, ects, is poor. But, everything is very software dependent. Apps It comes packaged with it's own "app store", Airwave. It's not obtrusive, and there are a few free apps. They are equally hit-or-miss. The Good: Cut the Rope- Just like the mobile game, you can cut ropes to get candy to a little alien thing. The controls work well, and are responsive. GameWave ($3.99)- Only thing I've bought on the stone, and worth it so far. Basically lets you bind gestures to windows key commands. Works on both the desktop and in games. For instance, I can close and open tabs in Chrome by swiping up or down respectively, as well as tab through my tabs by swiping left or right. I can fly plains in Planetside, with my left hand steering, and my right controlling throttle. (Not combat effective, but still fun.) I also bring up the map by swiping up with my whole hand, and reload my making a circle motion. Kyoto- A musical, interactive tree in pond thing. You can use your hand to run through the tree and water, and grab things that fly by. not particularly fun, but the control scheme is the best I've seen in any app. Very relaxing as well. Corel Painter Freestyle- The only free painting app, aside from an expensive Photoshop plugin. I'm no artist, but seems responsive, accurate, and fluid. The controls take some getting used to, and only is great in optimal conditions. The Bad: Touchless for Windows- Pretty much everything that can go wrong. Relies on slow, steady motion, careful hand presses, and incredibly inaccurate. Pretty much everyone gets this, then considers returning the Leap... Google Earth- Sounds cool, but waaaaaay to responsive to be useful, frequently end up upside down in the ocean. They could have come up with a much better control scheme. Ease of use. I'm by necessity Left handed, and cant use my right all that well (and for all practical purposes with the leap, not at all). But the hand recognition works fairly well, even for a lefty. After a while of using the device, I do get a bit of fatigue, but it is getting better the longer I use it. TL;DR: It's a great piece of hardware, hindered by spotty software. When it clicks, its hard to imagine a time without it. When it doesn't, you'll want to throw it out the window. I say wait a bit till the software improves, then if you got $80 burning in your pocket, and want to make using your computer more natural, go pick one up.

The Stache does not loose, it merely allowed them to win. Side note: sad to see no Liquid in the 1v1 tourney. Iceiceice should be fun to watch though.

Thank goodness. I'm not one to scream artstyle, but absolutely NONE of them looked anywhere near fitting in TF2.
