Terrorist attack on Boston Marathon.

Praying everyone is OK. There really isn't much else to say. -

Yes. Get this game immediately. It is absolutely hilarious no matter how successful you are. Plus, there's always something to shoot for, with moons and now new planets (I think). Plus mods.

I actually just realized it means "su +do" "Su" us a command that lets run run this as an administrator in Linux. sudo is like the one time use version. I always pronounced it as "pseudo" until I realized this.

You cannot determine who would be most informed, so you atempt to question Passenger 1 again about what he saw. Reluctant at first, finally he opens up: He was in the dining car, reading the paper, when he got up to find something to drink. As he passed into the car to his room, he heard running away from his car. He opened the door just to see the the other passenger jump off the back of the train. he ran back to the main cart to try to find me, but it was too late. When I asked what he looked like, all he could remember was seeing a flash of white, some sort of long coat, maybe? I thanked him for his time and was on my way. You take another swig from ye flask. You admire the cans simple design, the simple design makes sure its always in stock at the depot. [spoiler2][/spoiler2] You ask Ye Flask how it's doi-wait, what? What on earth are you doing. These people's crazy must be rubbing off on you. You are able to match the following passengers to their names: Passenger 1: Alexgndl Passenger 4: Corrvette Passenger 5: Doopliss Passenger 6: Splosion (not surprising.) You enter the train's back cart where the stowaways entered. Noting seems out of place, besides Splosion's gear, an easel, a few crates, and a metal suitcase. You do, however find yet another stowaway. (SEE LOG) It runs on coal. You have passenger 3 covering shoveling for you while you have been running about. He doesn't seem to mind. Passenger logs: Passenger 9: A traveling performer, specializing in illusions. I ask if he would be willing to do a show to help pass the time, but his equipment is at a stop some time ahead. He would be willing to once we pick it up, though. We discuss sports and television. Passenger 10: Yet another stowaway, found him in the storage cart after a bit of investigation. Had a heavy German accent, and a bird following him around. He rushed off to the dining car after he realized there were other stowaways and he was not in danger- he had been back there for a while...

I would say yes. I haven't spent a thing yet, don't feel like I'm missing out on anything.

The Return of the Revenge of the Son of subSPUF Movie nights pt. II!

Streaming "Non-Game related content." Fair enough, I'm sure it was in their agreement. I just need somewhere where I can have private broadcasts- it wasnt an issue until a bunch of people showed up. -

The Return of the Revenge of the Son of subSPUF Movie nights pt. II!
Binary replied to Binary's topic in Entertainment Theater
So, some news: Movie nights have been postponed indefinitely. After we nearly got kicked off of twitch, I want to research a better host, as well as a method to make the stream private. To top it off as well, I still haven't found a Linux based streaming service, and do not have my windows partition installed yet. These are not issues that I currently have time to remedy, but I will keep trying. Plan for at least skipping this week, maybe next week. Rules are OP. -

New Wot I think: Initial Thoughts*: GNU/Linux, Mint. So, I decided it was time for a change of scenery. My windows installation was getting cluttered, things were slowing down, and I just had too many programs that I hadn't used more than once. What should I do? Take time and run a virus scanner, clean out things I don't need? NOPE. I wiped the slate clean, and installed the Linux Mint Distro.** I chose this over Ubuntu mostly because I had very poor performance with Ubuntu last time, and Mint comes with a lot of proprietary software installed (drivers, ect.). It certainly takes a bit of work anyway to get it to 100%, but not unmanageable. Mostly it was getting the Nvidia drivers installed, but it was nothing a quick google couldn't solve. Steam installation was without a hitch. The only thing is that the notifications do not show above the task bar (they are hidden behind it). Other than that, I have been able to play TF2, FTL, Minecraft, and KSP. All ran excellently natively. I'm also starting to experiment with Wine, which seems to be working well. Currently downloading Dota 2, we'll see if I can get it to work. As far was the desktop itself goes, I cannot believe I'm staying this, but it is actually better than Windows 7 to me. Everything is laid out well, easy to find, and the search function actually works without taking 20 seconds to find anything. Lots of themes to choose from, multiple monitor support is good, everything appears to be adequate. So far I have not found a single thing to make me want to re-install my windows partition. One of my favorite things about this so far is how easy it is to fix and maintain. Everything is accessible through the console, and you can make a lot of changes to the system easily. tl;dr Everything is going beyond better than expected. I doubted the possibility of Linux to be used as a person's dedicated OS, but I am finding it a much more viable option than I thought. *These are, obviously my initial thoughts, and should be taken with as much or less credit than usual. I will try to follow these up with a proper review once I have spent sufficient time. **Pardon the terminology, I'm new to this.

Oh yeah I installed that too. Also, finally got TF2 to run. It runs the same, if not faster than the windows version.
-
Ubuntu, more specifically. I recently (last night) finally got into the Steam Linux beta thing, so I'm installing Ubuntu on my spare laptop. Will report findings. Day 1: Installation. Just going to use the windows installer, seeing as I can never seem to find spare disks or flash drives. Posting thread, then installing.
-
Night 1 progress: Nvidia Drivers installed, Chromium installed, system updates installed. Everything appears to be working well. Got Wine, but not sure how to use it yet. Games ready: Minecraft, FTL, TF2 is downloading, and KSP is being worked on.
-
So uh, I guess I lost the driver disk for my mobo, and win won't get online to get the drivers. As an experiment, I will attempt to use only Mint for a week or two. Tonight my goal is to get drivers and steam installed, and maybe look at getting wine to work. I will be devoting 90% of my efforts to getting Dota to work.
