It's a year of shooters for me. I'll go with top 3, because picking one really limites the other two. It's really close to a three way tie. Overwatch: Literal GOTY. Catching up on TF2 in terms of rate played. However, I had some IRL people that add to the enjoyment, as there were a few times I could see myself in a content drought without that aspect. DOOM: Just pure, fantasic fun. Still load it up just to rip and tear. Soundtrack was fantastic, Gameplay was super strong. Titanfall 2: Pretty late into the year for this one, but just a really nice, fluid, innovative shooter. SP gets high marks. Not quite doom level, but for it's genre, very strong. Really enjoyed playing it. Honorable mention: XCOM 2. Strategy isn't really my thing, but ayyliens are. Also had fun porting some helmets.

A mod is never early. He changes the theme precisely when it is needed.

When competitive came out I was playing with a few guys and we had this one guy on our team that insisted that Symetra was a healer. Like, he came on voice comms and told me "Hey, I like supports, but we don't need two healers, we already have a mercy" I tried to explain to him that Symetra wasn't a healer, but wasn't having it, so I switched off, and we lost. Guy talked shit about our team afterwards (the other two people I was playing with), ((that he knew were with me because pre-game showed us as two three-stacks)), to which I replied, "you know, a builder, like symetra would have been good, but I swapped off at your request." and he was like "oh, no you were fine, those other people were shit." To this day the other two with me immediately say "we don't need two healers, binary" when I pick symetra. /storytime.

Went out with a friend on a remote trail last night and claimed some empty gyms, then wandered around trails catching stuff for the rest of the night. I have three Raticates as gym holders, a 334 Pidgeot that I've been working on. (place is lousy with Pidgeys.) Also found a Jigglypuff, Ekans, DoDuo and Meowth. Trying to find enough Eevees to evolve one. Pretty fun actually.

I had a similar situation: Went out and bought my first mixed pack of beer. Got it home and realized I didn't have a bottle opener, and it was too late to go buy one. Turns out that needle nose pliers make an ugly but effective bottle opener.

The update may take 4 months longer than expected, but I do draw a mean background.

I'm really sad about these Olympics. I always enjoy them, but there seems to be a ton of issues.

That one did look pretty neat.

Hmm, mixed bag so far. EA wasted 95% of their conference with FIFA and Madden as usual. Star Wars stuff was reassuring to see, but nothing shown, which was disappointing. Would have liked to hear a name or at least a setting. BF1 looks pretty fantastic actually. That 1hr stream after the conference was better than the whole rest of the prior stream. Bethesda was not quite the "winning E3" announcements from last year, but was pretty understandable. Bethesda VR sounds interesting. Knew about the fallout dlc already. I didn't play Prey, so I wasn't too hyped about it. It could be interesting, I'll be keeping an eye on it. Dishonored 2, on the other hand, looks fantastic. Very excited for that. The time travel section looks very interesting. And then there's quake. I was so excited when I saw "QUAKE" on the command prompt. Trailer looked neat. And then there was the hero shooter... Not too sure how I feel about it. I'm willing to give it a chance, provided that the gun play and speed remain intact.

So, debrief time! Thoughts? How was the timing? How was the organization? What did you enjoy/not enjoy? Are we all ok with invading the mlm/onyx mumble again, or should I look into one of our own? My personal thoughts: Was pretty fun, I enjoyed playing with yall again, and TF2 was good to come back to. Maps were eh. We might want to consider playing something different next week within tf2, maybe PassTime or Mann Power or MvM.

wtf as in odd. In all honesty unless you're overclocking, the stock cooler that comes with the CPU will be sufficient. If you are overclocking, then you'll want something a bit bigger/beefier than that.

Used to play pyro like that. Forward/back on mouse buttons, middle mouse for jump. Went fantastically.
