  1. Good so far.Except shotgun is 1 and flamer is 2.Also, I tried my hardest to die and its not possible.

    ah, ya, that is a leftover shortcut, i meant to fix that. and you cant die because, well, it dosent know how, lol. (havent added that yet)

  2. Alright, so it really isn't much of a game right now, or SPUF-y, but I'm a little low on time ATM, so here's my progress so far:

    This is my test room, so it won't regenerate or anything, but you can press "R" to restart the room. Controls are the arrow keys, spacebar, and 1-3.

    (The smoke effect is a stand in for collisions right now)

    Alright, I think I'll do that once I have a demo up, probably sometime over the weekend.

    It'd be reasonable to just make them healbots who follow you around slightly faster than you can walk.

    That's pretty much what they do. They're like added on health. And they'll not only heal you, but they can heal enemies as well. (As in, I'm planning an octoheavy battle the way it was meant to be.)And as for multiplayer, um, its possible, but I'd reeeeeeeealy not want to do it for something like this. Perhaps a later game /minigame.

  4. If voice acting of some sort was added, would it be possible to have a boss that has variable lines? For example:Player: *playing Pyro*Boss: You're playing PYRO?! What a noob!Or Player: *playong Heavy*Boss: You're only playing Heavy because you can't play a real class!

    Yep, that would be possible to be added! Would the boss that does that maybe be in the same area as the Op/Up war?

    Ya, that could be pretty cool, actually. Plus there are some things that just need voice acting. (Pootis.)

    Also, is there a way to get a poll in the OP? I would like to find out which class I should do next:

    Soldier?

    Engi?

    Scout?

    Heavy?

    NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOBut I could see how annoying it would be to make a PC spy. let's just stick to the basics for now.

    I was afraid that would be the reaction. Unfortunately, the mechanics are too clunky to do anything nearly accurate enough for spies, as well was the fact he really only has two weapons, both which do low damage in normal conditions. However, I will try to include some salvaged invisiwatches if it makes you feel any better.

  7. How will you add invisibility and DR to Spy?

    Won't be too difficult. In visibility will use alpha settings, and the DR could only be a variable. Keep in mind, though, that spies will only be enemies.

  8. Half support, half offense. Well, really whatever my team needs at the moment. I rarely play soldier, but we had none once, and turned out I'm actually pretty decent. I have a "pybro" loadout, (flamethrower, flare, and Maul) for helping engies, but every once and a while I'll go cap a point that needs capping. Same with engi, I like battle engi, but if needed, I make a mean defense. I'll even go jarate sniper on occasion.

    Yes, its actually really fun. Really fast paced, though. But really, your jet pack isn't on the spacebar. No, its bound to one of the mouse buttons. That speaks for itself.

  10. If possible, a borderlands-esque shop system? Every so often, inventory will mix up, with mostly stock weapons, maybe one or two uncommon weapons, and maybe even ones with unusual effects, denoting a sharp increase in a certain stat.

    Yes, I can make shops have a random inventory. Unfortunately, the way I set the schema up, I cannot make them AS random as Borderlands, that is different randomized (stats, make, ect.) weapons in every shop, but I can have them have a random stock of weapons. (If that makes sense, its kinda hard to explain.)

    Alright, ill keep it in mind. I am planning on setting up a three companion system, where there's you (as either a pyro, soldier, engi, heavy, or scout), and up to two companions at a time, which would be either a medic, some of the bosses you beat, or other random characters.

    More idea pitchingNonstandard weapons have "Bad" nametag names.-Boomstick-Meatshot 8)-Brian-Rocket Lawn Chair-Comedy Bomb-Etc...

    So like the stock weapons picked up from enemies? Alright, that can be done.

    NPCs differentiated by hats/paint

    Doable as well (plus fun to code!)

    "Random Drop" minigame/level-Tetris with crates-Survive long enough and get a weapon/item

    Alright, simple enough. Looks like I'll have to have a whole section of minigames somewhere.On another now, I will be implementing a random weapon drop, so you can get weapons so far: (rarely) from dead enemies, bosses, shops, and drops. Hats, on the other hand, im still thinking about....

  12. Add troll rep, which is always behind death traps, it would be large amounts of rep in one spot, it would go away from you, and it'd lead to a trap.

    Ha, that would be funny. i might also add a chance that some of the dropped rep might be troll rep.
