  1. How about something like the ending to Blackadder? Not quite sure what map we would use but 6-7 of us could be held up somewhere under constant fire from Brass Beast Heavies and SMG Snipers, bullets flying only a few feet above where we are couched down under, after some chatter between the classes the bullets stop. All goes silent, after a few more lines from the classes they decide to make a break for it. Every thing is slowed down as scouts run shooting there pistols, Snipers firing there SMGs, a single Soldier uses a buff banner. After they have moved about 10-15 feet out of there trench/bunker/hiding spot they move striaight on a sticky trap. Slow Motion gibs fly everywhere. A rather faint TF2 main theme plays in the background. Fin.Thoughts?

I like dis idea. and actually, I don't think it would take that much planning (compared to some other ideas.)

  2. Going with the theme of the "getting to know you" threads, I thought it might be interesting to see where we've all come from in our time connected to the World Wide Web. Simply post or explain communities or websites that you did/still frequent.I'll start:The first website I really started to get attached to was a Lego Bionicle forum called bzpower. That was really my first major website, and I spent quite a bit of time there. Next, one of my friends introduced me to Neopets and Millsbery, which were a bit short lived. My obsession before steam/SPUF was the infamous Roblox. Actually a ton of fun at the beginning, but it started going downhill after they introduced premium stuff. Now I frequent SPUF, SubSPUF, and the Game Maker Community.Your turn!

  3. I had a playstation, then a playstation 2 growing up, but as soon as they stopped making the games for it, I got fed up with consoles. Ironically the thing that got me hooked on PC gaming was a Just Cause 2 demo that barely ran at the lowest resolution on my laptop. Later I got the Portal demo, then got Portal for free during that one weekend. It really took off after I got TF2, however.

  4. Alright, here's my thoughts for the dead Island remake-I'm typing this as I watch the trailer, fyi.We use a red scout for the girl, and he has capped the intelligence. he gets blown up after leaving the battlements of the enemy, and falls next to the bridge. There would be a pyro burning someone at the bottom. The hallway scenes would be him running toward the far ramp to the left of the spawn (near the courtyard) in the intelligence room. He continues up those stairs, across the top of the courtyard, past the spawn, and by the edge of the sniper posts. Have a blue spy disguised as a pyro with the axe pretend to defend him as he runs, and then stab him before he makes it out of the sniper battlements. He gets stabbed, and the ragdoll falls in front of the bridge. Have other people be having a normal fight during this, but not interfere with the scout or spy. For the flasback part, show the scout making his way into the intel room w/ the pryo. (and maybe have the spy stab the real red pyro helping him..)If you need more explanation, Ill take some screenshots /replays.

  5. DUDE! We made it to the second page? AWESOME!!!

    Oh, uh...

    *ahem*

Jolly good show, chaps! The abundance of posts in this marvelous thread is surely a sign that the classiness of this forum is increasing dramatically! Shall we partake in some celebratory tea and cakes?

    I do believe so, chap.

    Cheers!

I dare say that we should be able to use this macro more frequently! If it would assist those with the power to do so, I have provided an alternate image.

  6. Ya know what? Let me finish at least one of my current projects, and I'll take a look at making this! (But don't tell the Portal 2 forums, I haven't finished Aperture Birds yet.) I unfortunately cant do the Steam related stuff, though...

  7. It certainly has been a rollercoaster.Ignis Solus has been VAC Banned and "Ghosty" is claiming that he did it.He supposebly made Rammite crash multiple times yesterday. He supposebly crashed the Server after being killed.God knows how but he changed the colour of the sun to a magenta like colour (unless it's always that colour, I don't oftern look at the sun).My first thought was that this might be an ARG but it is also entirely possible that the sheer amount of popularity gained through the "The SPUF server is my new best friend" thread may well have shown him an oppurtunity to mess with us.

Unfortunately, I believe this is the most logical explanation. However, it still won't stop me from organizing a medic party and blasting ghost busters while healing him....

  8. Is the general consensus to turn votekick off, and add another admin or two?Or would a password, despite all the previous complaints, be a better option?

I think the first part. I don't think the password is necessary, if we add a bit of information to the MOTD so people know what they're getting into.edit: great to hear the change! also, who's the new admin?

  9. I had a really cheesy name, back when I began using the internet- it was "kongu 12345" (I really liked legos back then, google if unaware.). So, I used it on everything. The first place I moved to binary was probably twitter, then steam, then everything after that. I kinda just liked the way it sounded. And yes, my signature is true. People have actually asked me if I can code in binary, and not even in a joking manner. Kinda sad really.... I do, however, make games in my spare time.

  10. I agree. As long as a mod has been on, it has been fine, a la last night.I would also second any motion for Buddhazilla to moderate. He and myself are on at the same time frequently, which also happens to be a time when mod counts are low.I'm not so sure about the group thing though. A password would be difficult to change that frequently. But the events certainly are a great idea. I think the password (if used) should be changed weekly and be posted on the front page of the steam group and subSPUF. and tell people to not re-post the password. All in all, I think there's a certain way we all know that it should be run, but new people don't.
