I can't really get hyped for this anymore. I'd have to re-read months worth of updates just to remember various shit and figure out just what the hell is happening again. It's kinda sad, really.

Okay, sweet fucking christ I'm glad I don't do much selling on Steam. At first I was all "Meh, yeah, kinda lame" on the new Market restrictions, then I got some cards. It won't just list the damn thing from the Steam desktop app, I have to go into the mobile version and confirm the fucking listing(s) before it will actually show up on the Market. It was stupid having to open the mobile version twice because of the timing of getting the cards.

There are 2 of me. Quite frankly one is enough. I searched for my mother's name and there are 199 of her.
  5. More importantly, freedom of the press doesn't allow you to openly defy a judge's order without damn good reason. Why it's taken this long for Gawker to get legally fucked is beyond me. They should have been held in contempt long before it got to this point, almost three years later.

That's been a thing for a while now, actually. If I remember correctly, Microsoft decided to throw Win10 out there as a "Recommended Update", so if your computer is set to automatically download updates, or you don't check to see what updates it's going to install on a regular basis, it'll go ahead and download Win10.

"Attack on free speech from radical groups"? So... with how Trump boots out anyone who even looks like they might be a protester, whether or not they even are protesters, that's not an attack on free speech?

Well, on some boards there will be people in a conversation who only have a single digit difference in their number, but it'll be the 5th digit or something that's different, so making sure I ascribe what they're saying to the right person gets a bit difficult.

And yet, trying to read a conversation on any chanboard makes me go crosseyed just trying to identify the individuals participating. Too much number.

Yeah, that one was a must for our Medic as well. The Quarantine Specialist is amazing, though. Can place a Quarantine for 1 action on anywhere on the map, and if she's in a city with a Quarantine Marker, if that city would get a cube, the Quarantine Marker is not removed. We've been using the Quarantine Specialist to help contain the Uncurable One while we run around dealing with everything else. I might try looking out for a Pandemic Legacy game to start, because I'm really REALLY interested in seeing how that actually plays out, but since it's my friend's game, we only ever play when we can handle the strategemic thinking when we're over. Which isn't horribly often, sadly. The whole deal with Legacy is that the game starts out as normal, but runs along an entire campaign across an entire calendar year. You play two games each month, and the rules are actually changing as you play. However, the way the game is played, once the game ends, the game's over. The physical copy of the game actually involves placing stickers on the map, modifying roles, adding new rules to the rulebook, and outright destroying some of the cards (Mostly it's just the legacy cards that do this). If I remember correctly, it's actually possible to lose a role because of the Scarring system in place.

Ffuuu, my friend has Legacy S1 and we only got a couple games into it. We got the Quarantine Specialist and gave her whichever Relation that lets her take cards from someone else with the Researcher, works pretty damn well. We also have all the expansions (In the Lab, On the Brink, and Global Emergency), we haven't played Global Emergency, but we have played with ITL and holy shit that changes so much.

Just got back home from Movie Tavern and a few stops by a couple places. Zootopia is adorable and funny, but surprisingly deep in what message it sends out, we thought it was just going to be a typical comedy/drama kidsy movie, but it was a bit more than that. Over all, I give it a perfect 5/7.

H-uh, I dunno if they've done that at DidneyWorl, but I kinda hope not. Sounds pretty awful, and Space Mountain is my favorite ride at Magic Kingdom. From a quick Google search, it looks like this is just part of the "Season of the Force" thing they're doing, it started November 16th, so you might be able to rest easy that Hyperspace Mountain is just a temporary thing.

Carson might as well just drop out of the race now, he's so.. easily looked over. When they all stand in a row, Carson doesn't have any kind of presence. The main three you hear about is Trump, Rubio, and Cruz, so why the others are still in the race at this point is beyond me, they've all done absolutely horrible in the polls. And even with those Republican Three being the front-runners for the nomination, I'd still be incredibly disappointed in a Republican win this election, regardless of which of the three won. Cruz and Rubio don't need to be anywhere near a position of government office, they are so deeply ingrained in their religions that they will put that above all else. Cruz wants to establish a theocracy, Rubio wants Christians to be able to ignore laws that conflict with their faith. Both of them want to stack the Supreme Court with justices who would use "biblical values" to overturn same-sex marriage. They're both fucking nuts, and utterly unqualified to be the head of the US. And, well.. Trump is Trump. We don't really need to say much on him. I'm voting Democrat this cycle, as much as I will gripe and bitch at having to vote for Hillary if she wins the nomination, I really just don't want the Republicans in charge. Well, more in charge now than they have been for the past couple years.

I'm curious. What are y'alls thoughts on the FBI vs Apple thing going on right now? For those not in the know, or not in the US: The FBI is currently in possession of the work iphone of the perpetrator of the San Bernardino shooting (14 people were killed, 22 injured), however they cannot gain access to the data. The data on the phone itself is encrypted, a feature built into some of the latest versions of iOS itself, Apple says that even it cannot access the data on any single Apple device that's been updated to run a newer version of the OS. One of the other security features built into the OS is a data-wipe feature, after 10 failed attempts to unlock the device, all data on the device is deleted, thus preventing a brute force attack. Apple has already provided as much help as they can, but now the FBI has requested - and a federal judge is ordering - that Apple effectively build a new version of iOS that disables a few key security features. This new build of iOS would have the auto-wipe feature disabled, and the password input delay would also be disabled so the FBI can brute force the phone. Apple is refusing, and challenging this order. The FBI is using an old statute called the All Writs Act, a federal statute whose original form was part of the Judiciary Act of 1789. The current form of the act was first passed in 1911 and has been amended several times since then. The All Writs Act has been used to get mobile phone producers to unlock smartphones before, and Apple has helped the government extract data some 70 times in the past. But the key words here is "extract data". Apple can pull certain types of data from their phones, even if they're locked, but those phones must be running an older version of iOS. In one New York case, the phone in question ran on iOS7, but in the San Bernardino case, the iphone runs on iOS9, and the previous extraction techniques no longer work on iOS9. The government isn't asking for a mere data extraction, but the creation of a new version of the iOS platform with several key security features disabled. As far as I'm aware, I don't really think the government has the power to force Apple to create something that currently does not exist. Just like how the government can force you to give up your safe or computer, but it cannot compel you to hand over the key or password to unlock them. Aside from the question of whether or not the government has that kind of power, I don't particularly trust any branch of our government with this kind of software. Not only that, but there's the potential for others to abuse such vulnerabilities, especially since those gaps in the OS' security would be widely known. While I may not like Apple's products, I do take their side in this issue.

The fact that it's rated R should have been the first hint that it's not a fucking kids movie. Especially with all the articles talking about "Oh my god it's a comic book movie that's rated R!" If they just spent a tiny bit of time researching they'd find out that Deadpool isn't a hero, he's just a murderous psychopath with super cancer immortality. What's next? Mothers taking their kids to see a Lobo movie?

You can turn off the motion controls, if you already haven't, it becomes standard left stick move right stick aim, then. I prefer sloshing to rolling or gunning. What's your nintendo ID, Huff?

Jesus fucking christ Splatfests are brutal. I managed to pick the side with all the idiots on it, or I just had super shitty luck in lobbies, because my first 20 matches turned out 17 brutal losses and 3 wins. I managed to win a few more rounds, but the whole thing played out as "Win 3 games, lose 5-7". There were so many people I found who did absolutely nothing during Turf Wars, one genius tossed 3 Squid Beakons in front of our spawn and then ran around like a dumpass. Other times it was like my team just wasn't even trying, because we'd then get steamrolled, or the other team would manage to somehow make a push in the last 60 seconds. Most of the time it was like my team didn't know about the concept of offense, so we couldn't actually push back against them, just try and defend and fall back as they kept advancing. And if I have to play on Camp Triggerfish one more fucking time I will scream.

Speaking of cups of cereal, for whatever reason the Wal-Mart I use to get groceries has stopped carrying those single serving sized cereal cups and I'm annoyed. I don't eat cereal often enough to warrant just buying a box, and I don't want to feel like I'm obligated to eat the stuff once the box is open or else it'll go bad. Thankfully the nearby CVS and Publix still stock the damn things, but I dislike having to make additional stops.

    Overwatch

I'm actually pretty interested in this, but I am bad at games and need a new PC, I'd likely just play against bots all the time. The character design is beautiful, though, loving the fact that there's actual colors other than various dark shades. And for once I prefer the women over the men. Tracer and Mei are fucking adorable, and Symmetra is very pretty, Pharah is badass. Zenyatta is actually pretty hilarious to watch.
