The newest episode of one piece has some of the worst art (not animation, but character faces are horribly distorted throughout) in the history of the anime. And yet it's the best episode in quite some time. The shitty art somehow enhanced the "this whole saga just went into complete chaos" effect. The pacing was solid. The soundtrack was flawless. And it ended with a one legged man winning an ass kicking contest. And if I'm remembering the manga right next episode is gonna be just as nuts.

Adventures in KH2: Twilight Town, round 3, now with more Nobodies. I'm approaching the endgame. Let's see if I can beat it before I leave tomorrow evening. Oathkeeper is still my Keyblade of choice, entirely because of the extended Drive Forms. Also, why the hell is the awesomely strong keyblade you get for completing the second Halloween Town segment so goddamn ugly? I'm opposed to using it on aesthetic principle alone. That is some bullshit. On a different KH note, the more I think about it the more I think 1 had one of the best game prologues of all time. The "Dive to the Heart" tutorial segment is eerie, ethereal, and it neatly sets up the gameplay and some of the plot elements. Then you go through Destiny Islands, this peaceful place where all Sora's ever known lives, and his two best friends. And then it's all destroyed by the Heartless. And his best friends are missing. Now Sora has a reason to fight the Heartless. To get everything back.
