Your brain has already calculated an answer before you consciously asked the question. Essentially, choices are as much of a conscious decision as that you're consciously making your heart beat. The point of the logical fallacy is, that in effect, your choice was already predefined. Your grandparents gave your parents their genes, and your parents lived theirlife and then created you, giving you their genes. Their past experiences affected how they raised you, and in the same way everything else that even influenced you happened because something else in the past happened. The human mind is made up of nature (genes) and nurture (your environment), and nothing else. Therefore, every action ever made is predefined. You still make the choice, but it is impossible you'd ever make a different one than you did. The question whether that still makes you able to "choose" is a philosophical one, but the fact remains that the choices you do make are 100% predefined.

@Huff You're completely free to live your life the way you want to, probably more happily than I do, but in my eyes it is a sign of stupidity. There is not much else to say. I might get into it a little more eventually though. EDIT I actually read your post now and it's an interesting subject. I'll get into it later but I'm a bit busy at the moment It is true. Basically your brain calculates all incoming information and brings a conclusion, and then you "make" the decision. Also there's the logical impossibility of free will because your mind = nature + nurture, which both come from outside sources.

That certainly is a way of living, yes. Ignorance is bliss and all that. But I do see it as a sign of lesser intelligence.

well, yeah.

Maybe I should start playing Highlander

Your brain knows what you're gonna think even before you think it, the concept of a soul has been stripped into so many different aspects that there is nothing left, and the hormones that make you feel happy are subject to homeostasis which means that on average you'll always feel as happy as you feel right now Oh, and the soul and free will are logistic impossibilities to begin with Probably. But for now there is medication.

Although I must admit that I never really tried fifth gen comp it looks awful. It looks like gamefreak tried to speed up the slow second gen metagame, and then never goddamn stopped 1st gen: dammit this is such a mess half the moves don't even work properly 2nd gen: ok so everything now actually works. Too bad it's boring as fuck 3rd gen: alright we upped the speed a notch with more powerhouses, this is pretty cool 4th gen: hold on why are we still accelerating 5th gen: OH GOD SOMEBODY HIT THE BRAKES WHAT IS HAPPENING

I tried this for a while a few months ago and hated it

That's some weak-ass bullshit study psychology for a year and learn how free will, the soul, and happiness have basically been disproven

My prediction: too many people hope for the second buds, so they will go through a lot of crap to get one. This expectation of buds-level alone will be enough to already put it on a key or two. Traders will hoard them like CRAZY, and do their very best to keep the price high, probably pulling the same bullcrap as they did with the BMOC My prediction is at 4 to 5 keys after all the rucus has settled.

I have MASSIVE respect for people who make up fighting choreography. You have to keep in mind so many different factors while making a combat scene: the combat needs to flow naturally, stay exciting, have crescendos and decrescendos with proper juxtaposition, you need your characters to move from one "scene" to the other, the hits need to feel hard, you can't break the suspension of disbelief, there is just SO DAMN MUCH, and all at the same time, and many of those factors are so fragile Take that White trailer. Her opponent is gigantic, so she can't take a single hit from his sword without going down immediately. She can abuse speed, but if you don't make the giant fast enough he loses all danger. Basically she is dancing around his hits for a full minute and he has to keep it exciting, and succeeds, with her forcefield jump skill. Then he does make her take a hit with the giant's fist so he can start the crescendo into the end, and it was already very on the edge of SoD-breaking but he manages to save it by giving her a head wound, which is severe but doesn't prevent her from fighting (while broken ribs or appendages would've slowed her down). He keeps a fight going for two minutes with only 3 concepts: one giant soldier, her forcefield jumps and her (magical) sword, all while keeping the suspension of disbelief in tact. And don't even get me started at the problems of one vs. many fights like the Red trailer. On that subject, suspension of disbelief is one finnicky thing. The fact that she can block the giant's swing with her tiny arms and sword is okay, while I got ticked off that the way she was singing looked unrealistic (head bowed down and arms in fron of her chest while hitting high notes). ...Goddamn I sure as hell love to rant.

Oh also, I looked into your decks a bit and the first thing I can say is to get less one-ofs. This is probably because you only just started building them, but it's better to consistently have the same good creatures than having multiple different ones. I'll rate your Boros deck first seeing as I'm buildign one myself and have the most to talk about. For Boros, definitely get four Boros Charms, they kick ass, and probably four Searing Spears as well. You also need a lot of one-drops, as you want to be fast. Boros Elite is great and cheap, and I'd suggest two Legion Loyalists as they're kind of useless on their own but amazing together with more creatures. Champion of the Parsh, Stromkirk Noble and Stonewright are also great one drops. I use Foundry Street Denizen myself seeing as it's a lot easier to get by. For the two-drop, daring Skyjek is a bit mediocre. I'd suggest Wojek Halbediers and Bomber Corps. If you're willing to spend some bucks, get Ash Zealot. Boros has a LOT of amazing 3-drops and I'm stil not 100% sure which one to use myself. Skyknight Legionnaire, Boros Reckoner and Frontline Medic, are all top deck as fuck. Skyknight is very cheap to get, but Frontline Medic goes for about $6 and Boros Reckoner just hit the $20(!), so I'd suggest Skyknight. Four is probably where your manacurve should end, although you could run two Aurelias as well. The best four-drop is Hellrider, but he doesn't fit the flavor of Boros and is expensive ($12 I believe) so only get that if you wanna pro it up. Firemane Avenger and Spark Trooper are great four drops, and I'd suggest running six of them total, either 3 of each or 4 avengers and 2 troopers. For the rest, Aurelia's Fury is ridiculously good and I'd suggest running two. Thunderous Wrath can be very good as well as long as you don't get it in your starting hand, so running two of thoise might be nice. From what you're running now, I'd really suggest removing Nav-Squad Commandos, Ordruun Veteran, Sunhome Guildmage, all your Instants bar Aurelia's Fury, and Mark for Death, as they are rather sub-par. Also, here is my own Boros deck: http://deckstats.net/deck-1972456-79c62310ba38608736a75849b77ba1e7.html The Rings of Valkas are just there for trying out, but they've been pretty sweet so far

The problem is that Simic needs a lot of cards on the field to keep up. You need a lot of mana and a lot of creatures, and burn through your hand at an incredible speed. For all the mana, creatures and draw you need, there isn't enough place in a deck, and you'll need at least some kind of removal as well. Compare it to aggrored for example: loads of its creatures attack out of their mana curve because of Haste or unleash, and its removal can also double as free damage which frees up space in the deck. And because you're okay with castingone creature a turn while ramping out at four mana, SOMETIMES five if they run Hellkite Overlord, they don't need much mana either. Simic is all about interaction between cards, while RDW just bashes head with single cards: http://gatherer.wizards.com/Handlers/Image.ashx?multiverseid=253623&type=cardhttp://gatherer.wizards.com/Handlers/Image.ashx?multiverseid=366385&type=cardhttp://gatherer.wizards.com/Handlers/Image.ashx?multiverseid=226874&type=card Not saying that you MUST play a top deck because others are bad, of course. None of us is a comp player and I'd rather have a fun deck than a good but dull deck (honestly the fact that a monocolored deck thrives in a block specifically focussed on dualcolored decks annoys the crap out of me). Play whatever you want but understand that you might get your ass whopped at a FNM. I hope you kept that mind sculptor in good condition, you could easily sell it for $100

you lie you filthy slut, don't fill my head with false hope are they seriously doing stuff that isn't awful? Please I don't want to be hurt again

Max's is mostly expensive because it is much less common than Bill's (amount of people that bought L4D2 vs. amount of people that bought Sam & Max in a TF2 community) and because it was hoarded like cuhrazy. And next to that, it's simple habit that it's supposed to be expensive, no matter how lame that is. IN OTHER NEWS Valve did a thing for once

Wow, that is some very impressive combat choreography

For everything bar Expert you can basically just faff about and still win For Expert I'd recommend getting some bros and teamspeak but it's probably workable with randoms as well
-
ergh I just had the worst few rounds of TF2 I had in a long time kept dieing to really frustrating things like bodyshots, LnL pipes, sticky spam, you name it. Normally I don't mind that but this was just all the damn time, every single death. and to top it off I played like crap, had two decent rounds as scout but then couldnt hit a single shot It's really hard to quit when you're not having fun somehow, and now I'm in a shitty mood

North Korea is at it again. Plans on "3rd nuclear test" against US.

China was just mad that North Korea won the fireworks contest -
dimir is sadly a bit meh. They were too afraid to make mill too powerful and ended up making it way too weak, and cypher is too expensive to work considering how fast the current metagame is. From what I've seen, this is about how it works: Top Tier Boros Selesnya Great Tier Izzet Orzhov Azorius Mid Tier Golgari Rakdos Bad Tier Simic Dimir Crap Tier Gruul
