I'm gonna draft some M13 with two or three friends tomorrow. Not looking for anything in particular othe rthan Searing Spears, which are commons, lol. Boros is an incredible guild, it has some of the strongest creatures in the game right now. Also the Boros Charm is broken as hell. The most common comp deck right now, lame enough, is a nearly monored aggro deck with a shitton of haste, with white splashed for Boros Charm. There was a little ruckus on /tg/ today because Boros Reckoner just hit the $25 and is officially more expensive than Snapcaster Mage (I managed to get two when they were still four bucks, huehuehue) Also that combo you posted is similar to one of the most common Modern combos: http://gatherer.wizards.com/Handlers/Image.ashx?multiverseid=194274&type=card http://gatherer.wizards.com/Handlers/Image.ashx?multiverseid=141976&type=card It is often used for a free Birthing Pod engine, or with a cheap way to sac creatures, so you have infinite health. This. The smell of new cards is one of the biggest joys of opening a booster

yeah the resemblance is really uncanny so therefore I conclude this is either the Flying-type Eeveelution or the Delicious Curves-type Eeveelution

When I was younger, I had a Nintendo 64 and a Gamecube. And it was awesome. However, because of this, I never really played any PS1 and PS2 games. And with the huge library those consoles had, I missed out on a big bunch of classics. So seeing as I have a week off from university stuff, I decided to borrow a PS2 and some games, and go on a Quest for my Lost Childhood. ITT I will tell about my adventures through the library of Past, and you can recommend me other games to play. Right now on the list of games I'm gonna play: Shadow of the Colossus (currently in progress) MediEvil An Ape Escape game A Spyro game A Rayman game GTA San Andreas

Day 3, Part 3: Shadow of the Colossus I killed another five colossi. That girl's ought to give the best blowjobs ever to justify all this work. I actually felt guilty for killing some of them, they look so amazing and majestic ;-; I died three times while fighting the electrical salamander thing, mainly because I can't see my healthbar and therefore didn't notice the laser balls he shoots leave a lingering effect. I only noticed I was fighting in a cloud of poison after I fell over out of nowhere all of a sudden for the second time. Wander can really take a beating though. Between getting run over by a sand snake the size of a truck, and getting several cunsecutive headbutts from a bulltiger he might faint a couple of times but he just keeps on going. Oh, and after chasing birds and looking for snakes for half an hour I found out how to increase your health: you need to eat fruit. Hurr. END OF DAY 3, PART 3.

You know it homie Day 2, Part 2: Shadow of the Colossus I killed off four extra colossi today: got utterly lost on my way to the third one because I thought the face of a defeated colossus on the map was actually my new target and that the path mark of were you previously had been was actually the road you had to take, so I walked in that stupid cliff maze for like half an hour. Missing the health bar actually ended up being more exciting, as I expected: during the third colossus fight (the one with the giant sword), I only barely managed to dodge his swing and got swept away by the tremor. Wander kept lying on the floor for like five seconds, so I expected I had died and was waiting for the game over screen. But then he shakingly stood up, and glared at the colossus again. With this blaring in the background while all this happens, you get all kinds of happy tingly feelings inside. The fifth colossus is probably my favorite one so far: the giant bird. Jumping onto him mid-divebomb, clutching his hair while you soar above the lake waiting for him to finally stop thrashing so you can run over the rock rings on his wings that you can't hold on to while slowly seeing your stamina drain... ffffffffffffffffffffffuuuuuuuuuuuuuuccccccccccckkkkkkkkkk I also found two salamanders that increase your stamina, but only managed to catch one. The bow and I do not agree with eachother. I know there is a way to increase your health as well, but I can't for the life of me remember how. END OF DAY 2, PART 2.

Wait, you're making a deck for every guild? Yeah I can see that getting expensive I currently have 3 decks: -A golgari reanimate deck that is basically done (I actually still need three Entombs but those are really hard to get by and too expensive to buy for a formatless casual deck) -a Modern Merfolk deck for which I still need a lot os pricey stuff, mainly aether vials and mutavaults (160 bucks for eight cards ffffffffff) -a Standard Boros deck that I want to properly finish but I'm not gonna get the really expensive crap like the shocklands. I chose boros because it sounded like fun, but it turns out that from GTC, Boros is by far the best guild. For one thing that means that I can make a really good deck, for the other that means all the important cards like Hellriders cost loadsemone ;-;

Golgari swarm represent Although I'm building a Boros deck for GTC

Alright, I'll play Jak 2 then. If I like it I might play Jak 3 after that. As for FF7, it's mostly because it's the mosticonic one. Cloud, Tifa, Sephiroth and that kind of stuff. However it's nearly impossible to get by so I might end up playing it on a not entirely legal method

So I made a thread on /v/ about this and got a HUGE list back, of which I picked the titles I've heard of and which sounded good. The end result is this: PS1 Castlevania: Symphony of the Night DOOM Final Fantasy VII Ghost in the Shell Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee PS2: Spyro 2 Ape Escape 3 Ico Devil May Cry 3 Shadow of the Colossus MediEvil Silent Hill 2 Beyond Good & Evil Bully Dark Cloud Disgaea 2: Cursed Memories Dog's Life God Hand God of War Ratchet and clank 3 Jak and daxter 3 Katamari Damacy Kingdom Hearts GTA San Andreas Oni Parappa the Rapper 2 TimeSplitters 2 For these games I don't know which one I want to play: Persona (3 or 4) Rayman Resident Evil Dragon Quest Sly Cooper Metal Gear Solid Metal Slug (not necessarily PS) Sonic (3D & 2D) (not necessarily PS) possibly a different final fantasy seeing as ff7 is impossible to get by What Crash Bandicoot should I play then? I only want to do one of each series. And yeah, the controller difference probably goes both ways, depending on what you're used to. I actually got that for the pc a few steam sales ago. I love it, but it's in a dark corner of my backlog right now.

Day 1, Part 1: Shadow of the Colossus I'm gonna start off with Shadow of the Colossus. I actually did sort of play this game before, but most of the time was only spent seeing a friend play it. It was also a very long time ago, so I wanna replay this and figure everything out on my own. The very first thing I notice when I start up the game is that the controller feels really small in my hands. Maybe it's because I'm used to the freakish huge N64 controller and the GC controller, but I have to cramp my fingers a bit to still touch the shoulder buttons with my fingertips. Watched the intro scene, as atmospheric as ever. Sadly the game isn't made for the huge resolution of my scifi tv screen, so I have to squint to still read what everyone is saying. I also notice that I can't see my healthbar, but there really isn't any othe rresolution avaliable that either stretches out the entire screen or only uses the center of it, so I'll keep it this way for now. During the first colossus fight I notice that my brain is wired to have the jump button below the attack button because that's how it was on the n64 controller. Because of this, the biggest challenge during this fight is that I consciously have to choose my button presses, and die twice. When I finally defeat him however my brain has finally accepted this alien new controller and movement feels a lot more natural again. I only occasionally call out for Aggro when I don't want to. The second fight goes pretty good, although I keep calling out aggro when I want to draw my bow. It's hard to take a fight with a giant stone monster serious while there's a horse panicing about around its feet half of the time. When I manage to climb up onto the colossus I can't find its weak spots for some time, until I realize I have to have my sword out to see them. After figuring out that it's easy. END OF DAY 1, PART 1

Even /v/ praises this game I should really check this out

I've never really seen the logic behind random crits. Then again I play on nocrit servers 90% of the time so it doesn't really matter I do wish they'd finally fix the backstab animation for nocrit servers, though.

Yeah the whole Demo Reel fiasco was just embarassing to watch

So, would you guys rather see a Portal film or a Half-life film? I think a Half-life film would be easier to make, as it has more action and a more complex world and story. On the other hand, it would be an incredibly straightforward and generic videogame-film. Portal would be much harder to turn into a good film, but has much more potential. If they'd focus more on the story of Rat-man like in the comics, and add in more about the story of GlaDos' creation, it could be amazing. So conclusion, a Half-life film would be an easy 6-7, and a Portal film could either be a 3 or a 9.
