I don't play comp pokemon anymore but I remember Dragonite getting a ridiculously powerful dreamword ability. Multiscale or something like that? And yeah, from what I've seen weather is way too prominent in fifth gen comp.

It's not only your government, though. Although they do play a big part in it, by spending multiple hundreds of billions every year on defense, refusing to cooperate when trying to decrease CO2-excretion, and occasionally just blatantly ignoring international laws because they're fat enough to get away with it. It's also about 60% of Americans being obese, your judicial system being horrendous, and all the horrible media you let loose on the world. And then of course there is the flood of ridiculous stories we hear on the news about America, like Christian extremists banning evolution from school, people blaming video games for school shootings while you can get a gun at walmart in 15 minutes, and some states' intolerance against homosexuality in one of the best developed countries in the world. As I said before I don't dislike anyone on this forum, but the USA in general I'd rather see nuked off of the planet if it wasn't for how important it is.

I pretty much only looked at appearance when I made that chart, really. I've always thought Deoxys looked badass as hell, especially its attack forme. Plus the fact that he can change form at will and holds 3 out of 6 highest stats makes him awesome. I actually have a legit Deoxys from some event btw, I think you catch him on some island at level... 40? As in quality of the map of quality of the game in general? Because even though gen3 was great its map was craptastically awful.

Getting paid to review something does sound like selling out. I honestly couldn't care less, but they are selling out with this one.

What I always like about the starters is that you can often really see how the creators went at designing them Some starters like the Bulbasaur line clearly have every stage individually designed in such a way that it makes sense that they follow eachother up, but they are still decent-looking on their own: "Ok so we have this cute little dinofrog with a bud on its head. How do we make him badass?" "Well of course the flower goes open, so the second stage can have the bud slightly open and the final stage has it in full bloom!" "swagalicious! I'm gonna give the second stage mean eyes though so how do we make the final one different?" "Well maybe we can make him look a bit stoned but still mean to sort of show that he's gotten corrupted and stronger and shit" "that is awesome! Maybe he should have warts all over with the frog thing and all" "Good idea, let's give the second stage more freckles then to show the corruption in progress" Some other starters on the other hand are clearly designed with the final and first forms first, and then the second one just kind of crammed in between them. A great example is the Mudkip line, you can almost hear the designers think: "ok so we made this cute looking mudfish and he turns into this badass earthquake-smashing mofo... so what comes in between?" "well I guess it should be bipedal, and, um larger?" "and what then?" "well I guess it has the same colours, uh, and, uh" "yeah screw this I'm just drawing Mudkip again but make it stand up" If they hadn't designed Mudkip with a starter in mind, thus forcing them into the 3-stage format, Marshtomp would have never existed.
