    If Atheists ruled the world

Oh sorry, let me rephraseAnd then you risk to be put to trial in the world's most corrupt and retarded "justice" system known to man, so you can be put in jail to be assraped into submission by the four murderers you share your cell with because your country has one of the highest ratio of people in jail in the entire world

We already have hookers And then you risk to be put to trial in the world's most corrupt and retarded "justice" system known to man, so you can be put in jail to be forced into gangs so you can be five times as criminal as you come out than when you went in.

    If Atheists ruled the world

I myself an a hateïst. I believe in the power of hatred.Let me explain; hatred, and together with it, contempt, are two emotions that have been completely misrepresented by society. Hatred and Contempt are seen as bad, negative emotions, that one shouldn't have, and the reason is simple; they are bad for society, which is built on trust and respect. For the individual however, hatred is a very positive emotion. In fact, it is the emotion we should all strive for in life, as it is the ultimate bliss. No matter if you are a hedonist or not, in the end you will be striving for happiness in your life, whether this is through charity, faith, or drugs. However, mother nature is against us in this war for happiness, and you simply cannot defeat mother nature.Happiness comes from endorphin, which get produced by glands in our brains to reward us for something that is evolutionary advantageous; sex, food, or money (which in turn means sex and food). However if these endorphin levels would stay after our achievement, we would become lazy and stop doing these evolutionary advantageous things. Thus, after achieving, the level of endorphin quickly drop again, until you achieve again and again; our genes want us to keep striving for happiness without ever achieving it, and if it were our dear mother nature, we'd be miserable all our life (reflected in the three set pieces of "nature" still left in mankind; being born, giving birth, and dying, which all generally cost us an insufferable amount of pain). There is, however, a loophole. Power. Power gives us an evolutionary advantage as power comes, again, with food and sex, and thus the achievement of power makes our body reward us with endorphin, that holy substance we all so desperately crave. Now, striving for real power is a harsh task that many will fail, causing more suffering for the thousands of failures than the one man that does rise to the top. And thus, many philosophers gave up on power, as it in general would make mankind more unhappy than happy. But they didn't think far enough. Whilst we cannot defeat mother nature, we can trick her; our minds can be deceived into thinking it has more power than it actually has. By looking down upon someone, ergo, showing contempt and hatred for that person, one gives himself the feeling that he is above him; how dares that piece of filth even look up from its gutter to glance at your glory? The first reaction of our brain will be anger and aggression, adrenalin, but the trained mind can keep these emotions at bay and focus on the bliss that comes together with it; delicious endorphin, our fooled brain's reward for having power over the hated person. And there you have it. Given your mind is strong enough to withstand the aggression and stay in control for the outer world (and thus society), hatred and contempt can be an infinite source of happiness for you, accessible at every whim. Keep the smile up for the world but let the fire burn inside, and there is nothing that stands away of your personal happiness. So go forth my friends. Go forth, and hate as many people as you can.

from the anime thread: That doesn't change the fact that it is still definatel yin my top 5 and the first two times I watched it was a-ma-zing. Maybe it was because I was watching with a friend and I kept wondering what he thought about it.In other news, thishttp-~~-//www.youtube.com/watch?v=kkOj5DAJu2A

    Kingdom Hearts Let's Play: Redux

It is because of viewers. Not many people will be willing to sit through an hour long video, especially not if they just randomly stumble upon you. Sure, you could watch them in parts but the length still is very intimidating.Half an hour could work as well as a good middle ground

Variation on the music thread, because I'm a stuck-up elitist faggot who thinks a true music lover likes albums as a whole, not so much songs on their own. A little clarification for this reasoning is that many albums tell a story, that doesn't really come out in the individual songs So, to start off, some of my favorites Charles Barkley - St. Elsewhere Yeah yeah, the one with "Crazy" on it. That song got incredibly popular, and is probably the least interesting song on the album. St. Elsewhere is an album centered around mental diseases, telling the stories of different people with several ailments. Its a very happy album, even though the subjects are often a bit dark, like a man contemplating why he is treated like a madman just by considering suicide. The lyrics and methaphors in this album are out of this world [sample] Smiley Faces, a song about a depressed person trying to understand why people can enjoy life even through all its bad times Fang Island - Fang Island This is the happiest album on the planet. Listening to it puts a smile on my face no matter what, it's liquid joy dripping into your ear and spreading through your entire body. [sample] Daisy, in my opinion the best (and happiest) song on the album Neutral Milk Hotel - In the Aeroplane Over The Sea This one is a staple. I don't care what you are doing right now. You can skip my entire list, but you must listen to this. ITAOTS is a legendary album and very highly critically acclaimed, the Jesus of alternative music. When I first listened its songs, I wasn't that impressed, until two or three years later I suddenly had one of the songs in my head and revisited the album. Then i got completely intoxicated by it and the first time I listened it all the way through, it actually made me cry. I know I sound like a rambling hippie but this album has an entire universe in it. [sample] The King of Carrot Flowers, the first song on the album and the introduction to the world and the main characters. I'll keep it to this for now, and will post more tomorrow

Hipster Faggots Talking Hipster Faggottry Part 2: Electric Bugaloo Alright so I got a new batch of albums lined up: A1 - After School Special This isn't so much good as it is plain funny to listen; a rapper who made covers of 90's tv show tunes, including the Price is Right, the Power Rangers and Pokémon. If you're old enough to remember those series you won't be able to listen to this album without a huge grin on your face. The lyrics are pretty decent and actually are sort of an autobiography of the writer, although the album kinda falls apart in the end. Not so much a keeper as something you just have to try out for shits 'n giggles [sample] The Price is Right cover, the first one of the album and my favorite one Maximo Park - Our Earthly Pleasures This is pretty straightforward music, but also one of my favorite albums. The singer has a lovely voice and the songs are just relaxing and easy to listen to. Not at all a continuous album, but pretty much every single song is very good on its own. It does have a theme though; several songs were made to specifically describe a complex emotion, which it does very well, especially Russian Literature, my personal favorite. [sample] Books From Boxes: my second favorite and a lot more relaxed than Russian Literature, so you guys hear the contrast between the songs and the emotions they represent a bit Godspeed You! Black Emperor - Lift Your Skinny Fists Like Antennae To Heaven A very big shift of tone between this one and the previous two, but I had to show it. Very atmospheric Post-Rock and one of /mu/'s favorite circlejerk materials. The album is completely instrumental with some voice samples here and there, but what voice samples they are. This album makes you feel completely depressed and empty inside, but in a beautiful way.

I like the Odd Couple as well, but it isn't such a complete piece as St. Elsewhere, I also am a big fan for music about mental disorders, so yeah. I'm listening to the stuff you're posting but most of it is rather hard to get into, so it'll take a while before I can form an opinion. I really like this, I'm definately gonna look further into this band. The second one wasn't really my taste, and RHCP I already know; One by One is a good album, but I prefer Stadium Arcadium myself. Also thanks for the samples, I sure hope some people follow your example *winkwinknudgenudge* Gorrillaz is one of the few rap bands that I like. I'm not too big of a fan of Korn, and I don't know the third one so I'll look into it a bit The fourth one strikes me incredibly familiar but I can't place it and it's driving me crazy I've pira-COUGH-bought Alive 2007 after you recommended it to me on Steam and I love it. I can definately see what you mean by it being Daft Punk's masterpiece I don't know Justice Cross but I've seen it on a lot of /mu/ 3x3's, so it's time I check that one out Kid A is good but I prefer Ok Computer And obviously Raison is too big of an uncultured swine to enjoy ITAOTS (seriously though it being mentioned 3 times already should prove something) I'm gonna mock up another batch of recommendations btw so keep em coming
