I'm always so bad at retrospectives I hardly remember what I did this year I got my bachelor in Psychology which is awesome, and am now in a master program with a lot of great people. Finally caved and bought a WiiU, went top8 in a Magic pro tour qualifier, started and stopped doing a youtube channel which was fun when I had the time to do it, rekindled my motivation to play piano On the bad side of things I've been really feeling the urge to move out of my parents' house but it's just not feasable right now, I've been slowly losing contact with some high school friends, I still can't motivate myself to excercise regularly and my sleeping issues have been worsening I think I did pretty well this year but really need to move on from some childhood stuff

Goddammit why does the greed machine jam that shit is ridiculous. Got down there with Cain carrying 90+ coins and 1% jamming chance and it jams on the third fucking coin The greed machine should honestly just not jam at all, ever. Even if you get there with 99 coins it'd still take you 12 runs which is plenty for such a samey gamemode and if you manage to get some combo that gives you infinite money or whatever then well congratulations you lucked out

Short rant about wonderful 101 This game is really fun and the secondary reason for me to buy a WiiU (after smash) and I recommend everyone to try it out if they get the chance BUT W101 is so fucking bad at explaining things, I don't think I've ever played a game that was worse at it. I already talked before about how very early on in the game there is an optional upgrade you're required to buy as soon as possible or you will have an awful time trying to beat the next level. Now that would've been a nitpick if it was the only occasion but shit like that just keeps on happening, often because the camera is in this close-up isometric angle that hides objectives and hazards from you and makes it really hard to tell whether that one little dot is a swarm enemy or one of the hundreds of your characters. The crowning moment just occurred where I fought a boss that threw chains at you and you have to cut them away or he oneshots you, and even though the game flashes the sword symbol in your face no matter what sword move I tried it didn't work. So I finish the level with 4 used continues and get the shit-tier rank for special kids and it's just really. Fucking. Frustrating. I'm considering doing the rest of the game with a guide next to me because even though the combat is as great as in any platinum game, getting a low rankings every other level because I just didn't know what I was supposed to do just really hurts the experience after a while

clicking threads in the "unread content" menu now brings you to the start of the thread instead of the latest unread post. It's not a big deal but kind of a hassle

When I think of freeze time explosive jumping I think of Soldiers already going down the stairs in granary spawn or demos getting to right door and I don't really see the problem But that's for comp and not for highlander so Im not sure how it's on some of the highlander maps
