Apparently the walkers are confirmed real now. I still think they are rather blandly designed but they might be stronger than I originally gave them credit for. Someone on mtgs pointed out that they are all essentially 6-drops that cost 2-3 mana: you cast Nissa when you can make her immediately flip off her own effect, and you cast Jace after a boardwipe so you can keep up countermagic so he can survive until he flips. Especially with Jace, once flipped you are in a pretty good position: can + while protecting himself, can be a recurring snapcaster mage, and in a hard control shell, his ultimate could actually be used as a wincon. Dying to Abrupt Decay sucks super hard though.

Well Liliana's flip trigger was clearly designed top-down, whilst the other walkers all have really generic "this is this color so this is how it flips" abilities. The black promos being "leaked" also makes for much easier to make fakes since the art is already so stylized I could of course be wrong but I kind of hope I'm not because boy are they all weak and uninteresting. I expected/hoped WotC would put a little bit more thought in the last core set

Yes memetastic epic upvoted But it would not surprise me if Valve backpedals on this within the next two weeks, and that worries me. Downloadable games now finally have some kind of quality control that benefits the consumer, and companies can no longer bank on the preorders before reviews hit that the game is actually garbage. Valve took back the paid mod thing because of online outcry as well (which is good, of course), and while this time the outcry comes from a much smaller group, it is also much more vocal. People are also already exploiting the system, paying for a game and playing it offline while the refund is being processed. Honestly it's ridiculous that being able to get a refund is such a big deal to begin with, this really should be common sense. Which it is in Europe btw: You can send steam support a ticket quoting the European trade laws and as long as it is between two weeks of purchase they are required to give you a refund, even though their own UA says otherwise.

Lots of indie devs are really up in arms about this refund system, I really hope Valve doesn't give them an inch in this
