I dropped Naruto after the first season of Shippuden so I'm not sure if it applies to that, but powerlevel wankery only becomes annoying to me the moment it loses all impact and value The most jarring example of that to me is still in DBZ when Frieza, who could already easily blow up a planet in his first form, comes back as a cyborg which supposedly tripled his strength plus he brought his dad (lol) to come beat up Earth, but then Trunks comes up and beats them both like it's nothing. And then we're presented with human made androids against which he doesn't stand a chance, who in return get annihilated by human made Cell like it's nothing. Speed up a bit further and we have Buu who, if the power scaling had any impact at all, should be pretty much blowing up the solar system with the shockwave of him lifting an eyebrow The powerscaling doesn't mean anything after Frieza, it raising the stakes by saying the stakes are raised. Just got back from GP Utrecht I arrived Thursday since I wanted to do the early bird trial at 9:00 the next morning. Bought/traded to finish my UWr geist list and found a quiet corner to cry in at the realization I just burned ~100 bucks on cardboard within ten minutes. Watched a friend play Legacy, he went 2-2-1 with Goblins and got some star points Friday morning took the MM15 sealed trial, opened an Emrakul but decided to not drop and pass it, got a shite pool without any value and went 1-3 drop. Didn't do much for the rest of the day, three other friends arrived and we finished some trades to complete our decks. One friend did a Modern pickup with his Stompy deck and hilariously enough crushed with it, winning it by beating Twin, GRTron and Abzan. The twin player was salty as fuck about it, and the Abzan match was super intense when he got one creature through to Aspect of Hydra it trice before it got Slaughter Pacted. Everyone around laughs (us too), the abzan played untaps and draws his card, forgetting the pact trigger. He jokes about it and shakes my friend's hand, saying my friend deserved winning anyways. Great guy. Saturday was the main event, I had a crap first pool but passed it for an even crappier pool, with the only value being Tezzeret and Remand. It was however a pretty damn sweet pool to make a deck out of, and I managed to go 5-2 before I drew against my eighth match, to which I conceded since a draw would've meant neither of us would be able to make day 2. I did two modern pickups but lost both immediately, which left me a bit annoyed especially since my stompy-playing friend got third place twice. Sunday I was going to do the Modern star event, but we'd have to wake up super early again and I don't think I could've played like that, so we slept an hour longer and just did pickups. I wanted to do one MM15 draft because there was no way I was going to end this GP without getting any value out of MM15 and boy did that pay off: Kiki-Jiki, Cryptic Command, Surgical Extraction and another Tezzeret. I immediately lost match 1 since I was too busy raredrafting to get any removal but totally worth it. I then did four more modern pickups, of which I won two, lost one and got fourth in the other, netting me a boatload of star points which I traded in for eight packs of MM15, opening a Daybreak Coronet, Eye of Ugin, Remand and Mox Opal. I traded my Mox Opal for the Cryptic Command a friend opened (he also opened a foil Mox Opal btw) and traded a remand and Daybreak Coronet for another Kiki-Jiki and some EDH bling 8.5/10, Saturday was a bit disappointing getting so close to day2 and losing both pickups but Sunday completely made up for it. if I knew how easily those pickups give value I would've started taking those WAY earlier

I finally beat Rogue Legacy just now, after I realized that always wearing all extra money armour isnt always the optimal strategy Im really looking forward to do new game+
