Im not sure whether I want to download HL2 Update. The graphical changes are incredibly minor and I don't give a fuck about community commentary (seriously, what?) On the other hand I don't think there is any downside to it either so hey, extra grafix

FUCK yeah, now I have all achievements in HL2 including all episodes Neighborhood Watch was a fucking blast to do. It took a few tries but timing all the Strider spawns (especially the three fast running assholes) was really exciting and so was smashing into Hunters at full speed with the car. I did it on normal, and I might just start a Hard run and try it again even though I have the achievement. I used a guide for Get Some Grub which I admit with zero shame because fuck that achievement, and Little Rocket Man's car parts were as tedious as I had expected. I had completely forgotton about Hot Potat0wned so had to reload a save to find some combines to kill, they're actually really rare in Episode 2. Most enemies you face are zombies or Hunters. After 3 failed grenade throws I just grabbed one combine's grenade and punched him in the face with it, which also counts apparently. I thought I'd be tired of HL2 after doing this but I actually really feel like doing another Hard run

Just finished Talos Principle, I think I can recommend it When I bought it for 10 bucks I worried that I wouldn't get my money's worth but ironically the game ended up actually being too long; it took me 15 hours to finish it and would've preferred it the game had only been half as long. The puzzles are interesting but pretty much run out of ideas halfway through. The story was really cool however, which is why I kept playing it, and the ending(s) were satisfying. Most of the story is told through text however so if you don't like reading this might become bothersome. Next to the puzzles there is also a story element that is pretty much a philosophical debate text adventure. The idea was pretty interesting but I think they kind of aimed too high with it; it's all multiple choice so it happened several times that I couldn't give the answer I wanted to give and had to settle with something I vaguely agreed with, On one occasion I managed to get the discussion so off the rails that the "opponent" had to make a complete non-sequitor that basically came down to "well fuck you, this is the conclusion we come to so we can go on with the story". So if you like puzzles and don't mind reading and a bit of pretentiousness, definitely try it out.

I'd spend the first week or so panicing and crying Then, if I manage to not kill myself during that period of time, I'd google as much info as possible about power plants, food preservation methods et cetera Then, if it is possible to maintain a power plant on your own I'd move to the nearest power plant and live a life of lonely luxury and heat-up meals If not (which is very likely) I'd probably move to a warmer climate and try to scrape by as a farmer. It mostly depends on how fast electricity and internet fails without maintenance. If it's within the first three days I'd probably die within five years, if I have time to learn some survival skills I might last well into my 50's yelling at a volleyball

Uncanny Valley also has trice the effect when the object is moving It kind of blew my mind how bad the human animations were in Crysis 2 compared to how great the models looked. They spent a bazillion money on making it look realistic but if they'd only spent a tenth of that money on mocapping, the models would've looked twice as realistic
