At the very least give a date They are also duke nukeming the fuck out of the update, what the hell do they actually have to produce by now to make it worth the wait? By now I'd expect the heavy and pyro update to be combined and the announcement this was the final update ever

Just give a goddamn date you motherfuckers so you actually have a deadline to get you motivated Underestimating dev time included, implied size of the update included, staff shortage included, you do not fool me into believing that making this update takes well over a year if they had actually ran regular 9 to 5 workdays

I knew about the game long before that, at least. The aestethic grabbed a lot of attention immediately when it got announced, but Cuphead actually took a very long time to be released so the anticipation for it had dried up a bit It is really good though, the bosses are incredibly creative. I don't really have any real criticism as of now other than that it has the usual problem of multi stage bosses where you end up resetting over and over if you get hit in the early phases because you need all your health for the later phases

It's a system that makes a game profitable for the devs, which in the end is why they made the game. There are plenty of examples of devs choosing the money over what is good for a game's community, but outright "banning" (or forcing an 18+ rating, which might just as well be banning) lootbox systems just means devs will have to get their money elsewhere by making free updates paid. There is undoubtably a massive grey area, but I think the lootbox systems of games like Overwatch and TF2 benefit the overall community more than that they suffer from it

Getting lootbox systems filed under gambling is a bit silly. It's not like gambling systems aimed at minors is a new thing; card games have been doing that years before it infested videogames and every one of us has been ripped off by one of those carnival claw machines. It's annoying that every single multiplayer game nowadays comes with some lootbox system but banning it would do much more bad than good.

Honestly I have been expecting the final TF2 update since End of the Line. I don't really mind a lack of updates and the game is still alive enough to easily get full games going, what's disappointing is them promising the biggest, best update EVER and then letting us wait well over a year. Three months ago people predicted the update would hit on TF2's birthday and I called them madmen with how far that was still ahead, but now that is 2 weeks away IMO TF2 doesn't need any more new stuff. It is disappointing comp matchmaking is such an unplayable shitshow, but pubs work and honestly if I wanted to play comp I'd just join a team again as that would and will be always the superior option. My only real fear, with the shaky balance patchnotes we got spoiled two months ago, is that they manage to really fuck up the balance right before they drop it forever. The biggest mindblow to me is that supposedly, the Pyro Update still isn't the last update, and we still got a Heavy update to go at the least

It really annoys me that saying gg at the end of any game has become the standard/polite thing to do Especially when I play mtg; if I lose after an interactive game and my opponent beats me with a clever move, well done, gg ! But if I never draw a third land or get godhanded by the storm player on turn 3 then it was not gg, it was bg. It's fine that I lost, chance is part of the game, but it was NOT GG. What do you say at the end of bg, when it is fine it was bg but it was not gg?

Related to this, when I get mad I have a huge urge to curse with cancer, and I really hate that and suppress it as hard as possible It's such a stereotypical Dutch thing to do but it is 100% real

I hate the polite ggs though, it takes away the "value" of it if it actually was a good game. I guess you say gg out of politeness for any game and actually type out good game if it genuinely was "yw" for "you win" or something like that would be preferable, or seething silence as cube said

I watched the Netflix Death Note thing. It was a fun watch, but more in a "so bad it's good" way. Light and Misa are fucking awful but L steals the show Also Willem Dafoe voicing Ryuk was a match made in heaven
