​People always assume soldiers don't get what they're doing. And it's probably true some of the time. But an older friend of mine who was in the military said that a lot of them viewed as a job. A dangerous job that didn't pay great, granted, but sometimes you got to make the world a better place by removing psychos like ISIS and Al Qaeda from the face of the planet.

Title. I'll probably be needing a new laptop soon because my craptop is giving up the ghost. Requirements: - Not heinously expensive. Sub $600 would be nice. - Doesn't need to be "gaming", but I'd like to be able to play some lightweight games on it. Must be able to run hearthstone. I don't really buy new games all that often but if it could run older source engine stuff and Global Offesnive and Crysis 3 and Minecraft and stuff that'd be neat. - A 14 inch screen at least - Not terrifyingly heavy - Windows - Able to add stuff. I've seen some where you can't swap out the bits without tools that cost more than the machine. I'll probably be putting an a 240 gig SSD. - Long-ish battery life. - Not prone to breaking. - Good at multitasking Something I'll be doing a lot is computer science stuff because I enjoy that. It needs to be suitable for contesting and all that jazz. I've seen a few for sale, but I've always been much more of a software guy than a hardware guy. I have a friend with one of these and he really likes it. By the way, for anyone looking to upgrade to Based SSD, there's a 240 gig one on sale of 80 bucks right now.

There's Bolf Somethingshield that's a 6 mana 3/9 that takes all damage your hero takes instead of your hero taking it. Rogue pirate, 3 mana 4/3 shady dealer gains +1/+1 if you have a pirate when you play it. Ah, I see where the confusion is coming from. You would (basically) NEVER play Velen on curve, or even the turn before you kill your opponent. See the screenshot once more: The acolyte is buffed with Velen's Chosen. Velen costs 7, and I have emperor on one mind blast while the other is normal - so 10 mana to play all three cards. Thus, all in one turn, I can deal 24* damage from hand. That hunter probably expects me to control the board until I eventually win if I draw a larger heal like holy fire or healbot, or lose if he draws burn. However, this lets me end the game instantly, with 24 damage in hand when I appeared 19 damage away from actually killing him - and as mentioned before, people rarely expect more than five damage burst from a priest. It's like playing bloodmage thalnos in freeze mage before a fireball-frostbolt-icelance-icelance. You play him ON the turn you kill them, never before (though you would sometimes play thalnos before killing your opponent in freeze mage because he can draw a card). *Normally 20, but you get an extra 4 from the spellpower on the acolyte granted by Velen's Chosen. The extra damage was not necessary this game. Basically, for the purposes of the combo, he could be a 1/1 for all I care - all that matters is that he doubles your spell damage. I don't think I've ever played the Prophet and not killed my opponent that turn.

​That's true, normally - but you don't play him for the stats. You play him for the fact that he turns your mind blasts into pyro blasts. Basically, he's in the deck to give you about 15* more damage than people except priest to have in their hand. *People seem to expect five, either from holy fire or auchenai + light of the naruu and hero power. Velen + Mind Blast x2 is 20. Have an example:

so it turns out velen priest is actually pretty viable it feels great to burst a zoolock down from 20 with velen-mindblast-mindblast Plus, unlike many of the other huge-damage combos, it works through taunt and only requires emperor to hit a single part of the combo to work. And I'd imagine in really slow controlly matches against like a grinder deck you could just draw everything until you get Velen, Velen's Chosen, Mind Blast x2, and Holy Smite all in hand for 12+12+6=30 damage combo after one turn of Emperor.
