At least you're not using any of the older (Like 7 or so years ago) versions. The Avast voice was a guy. or the one with the talk-like-a-pirate one

Heart. I mean, hi, how art thou?

Get it? A little something?

Though I play Scout more, I'm most effective as engi, when I've got a decent team to back me up.

My personal definition of a video game is as follows: It has to have a goal. This could be survival or similar goals. It has to have a challenge. This could be fear-based, skill-based, intellect-based, etc. Fear of ending a story or finishing an experience (like some people who put off reading the last book in a series) does not count. It has to have some way of changing the way the microstory goes. This is where mine gets weird: my definition of a microstory is what YOU do in the level. In, let's say a typical Call of Duty Campaign, this would be the difference between running-and-gunning, sniping, or going in with a light machine gun and laying waste. Taking a slightly different route, occassionally pausing, or whatever, would not qualify as a change to the microstory unless a significant change in the way the game felt (tenseness of sniping, rushed feeling of running and gunning, whatever of LMGing). I would argue that, by my standards, Gone Home is not a game. It has no real challenge (from what I can tell) and no way of changing the microstory. EDIT: That does not mean Gone Home and things like it are "bad" "games". I just don't think of them as games, and they also aren't my jam.

... I'm just going to assume that there's a case of Poe's law going on since I don't know you very well.

In This Post: someone who is just fanboying mindlessly. Seriously, there is no 'best' game. Ever. It's literally not possible - and if it is, I'd be concerned about the G-Men messing with our brains if they got the entire gaming community to agree on something.

IMO, games like Gone Home and Dear Esther aren't really games. There is no skill to them, no strategy, barely even an intellectual investment. All they really are is a sort of more-highly-immersed movie. So if that's your jam, cool. Not my jam, probably never will be, but I don't really feel that they are games at all.

This. I'm bad at picking up feels and I feel the wrong feels at the wrong times so feelsgames are not so great for me.

So I finally reached stage 3 of the Rebel Flagship as the Model B of the Crystal Cruiser (took me bloody forever to grind for it). Here's my ship: [spoiler2] [/spoiler2] WAT DO

I got Super Hexagon, the two non-free Dungeons of Dredmor DLC, the Gage Weapons Pack for Payday 2, the Killing Floor Us Versus Them weapons pack, Oblivion GOTY: Deluxe, Borderlands 2 ROW, and plain Skyrim because by the time I would get around to the DLC quests it would be the summer seal.

I'm pretty sure I've got 4 or 5 unreleased chapters for that, but it's such a pain to set up the chapter links. -
Nobody vote Stanley Parable. Everybody vote Civ 5.

Have you tried it without a hud at all? Also, on Stanley parable, try -windowed (in the run properties thingy). I had a similar issue a while back on something else, and that might help.

On tf2, have you got any weird stuff downloaded/installed? Or language settings different?
