Book 1 Part 1 Chapter 7 [spoiler2]Cavera’s Apartment After staring at the words for a moment, Cavera shivered and rand for her bedroom, intent on gathering her weapons before she ran like hell. Her eyes had turned a odd pink color. A growl came out of her room, quickly followed by its maker: a massive, impossible hulking, faceless beast. She somersaulted over the beast’s head and heard it crash into the wall behind her. If it had killed Rex in a straight fight, she couldn’t beat it. She had to move. Grabbing her bag, she leaped out the window, somehow unscathed despite having jumped through a pane of glass. She ran, calling Stanley. “Stanley! Something killed Rexic! I’m on North Counterstrike Street!” “Pinkskaya, I assume? I’ll meet you at the corner of East Global Drive.” “Cavera’s in shock. It can’t catch me - it’s not very fast.” “Good. See you at the corner.” Pinkskaya was completely calm - she had dealt with situations like this countless times. “You don’t need to run any more, Cavera.” She skidded to a halt, confused. A strange feeling of well-being flowed over her. Cavera took back over. “W-what?” The shock of seeing Rex’s destroyed body had fallen away from her mind. “It’s okay, you can rest now.” “Who...” She trailed off, confused. A handsome young man with hazel-brown hair and chocolate eyes was suddenly at her side. “Simon says go to sleep.” His voice was gentle, warm, comforting, but still the most intense voice she’d ever heard - that still sounded sane. Her eyelids drooped, and she slumped. He caught her unconscious body. ************************** Byron’s House Byron tensed. He’d heard something, but over the sound of the soccer game Rammite was watching, it was difficult to be sure just what. “Rammite!” Byron yelled. “Did you hear a noise?” “I heard a GOAAAAAAAAAAL! YES!” Byron heard something else. “There it was again.” “I heard it too. Someone’s at one of the downstairs windows.” Rammite left the TV running, not wanting the infiltrator to pick up on any cues that something was wrong. He grabbed a shotgun and a revolver. Byron went unarmed. They both creeped down the stairs, Byron in a low crouch, Rammite standing behind him prepared to fill the first thing he saw with slugs. Something snuffled. Snuffled? Byron glanced back at Rammite and raised an eyebrow. Rammite mouthed the word freak. A hulking creature broke through the wall, hitting Byron with a devastating punch. Time slowed down. BOOM. Pump. BOOM. Reload... The beast stumbled, and its brief flicker of imbalance opened it to a devastating hit from Byron's bionic arm. Crack. The freak collapsed. “Staples.” “Shuddup, Rammite. We need to get this to Jay. Call someone to move it.” “It can’t weigh that much.” The freak had more muscle mass than your average body builder. “I can carry it.” “Sniff it.” Rammite sniffed, and promptly pulled out his phone. ************************** Unknown Hotel Room Simon stroked Cavera’s dirty-blonde hair, contemplating. She whimpered in her sleep. “Finally waking up, hmm?” Her eyes fluttered open. “W-where am I?” “You’re safe.” That’s right, she was safe. “Who are you?” “My name is Simon.” Cavera was having trouble focusing. She could barely remember her name with the constant distraction of his beautiful voice. “Oh...” She giggled, not really sure what she’d been planning to say. “Mind if I ask you a few question?” Of course she didn’t. ************************** Office of Dual & Cube’s Supernatural Consulting We cannot access that number. Octavius drummed his fingers nervously. Cavera always had her cell phone on and with her. Why didn’t she now? Had it been destroyed somehow? Did she not want to talk to him? Did Stanley not want her to talk to him? Worried, he grabbed Jay’s P250 and got in his car. In her line of work, who knows what might have happened to her? He’d better check that she was all right.[/spoiler2]

Hey, at least I'm honest about it. My money is on it soon taking more courage to say that you think homosexuality is a sin than it will to "come out".
-
The scary thing it that is exactly what I was afraid of and I'm not sure. Because it can be posted in their so I might go into "Your view on homosexuality" or whatever and gey but secks.
-
I agree with this. I mean, get a quicktopic, guys. Seriously, I'm not gonna risk going into that forum, despite the fact I wanna participate in some of the discussions.

I don't wanna see all that... But I do wanna see those. WHAT DO

I swore to myself I'd use it at least once.

Book 1 Part 1 Chapter 6 [spoiler2] Office of Dual & Cube’s Supernatural Consulting “It’s okay, I understand what you’re going through.” It was late at night, and Cube was still in the office, comforting Cavera. She had clearly been crying. “It’s just, I don’t want to do it. But, I haven’t really got a choice. I mean, I was, like, homeless and hopeless, and I was working as a pros-” “It’s okay, you feel grateful to Munda for giving you a chance at making a living, even though it was dishonest.” He was referring to Stanley Munda, the suit-wearing, shotgun-wielding Don of SPUF. “But you don’t owe him anything - you can retire. I can protect you.” “I know, but...” She trailed off and leaned her head on Octavius’s shoulder. He reached out a brushed a lock of her hair from her eyes. She smiled, in a sad, lonely sort of one. Octavius pulled her close and- Someone coughed. Octavius looked around wildly. After passing over without seeing him twice, he noticed Jay, blending in with the walls of the dim room. “Dammit, Dual! A little privacy?” “Get a room. Away from here.” “I pay half the rent.” “I’m having a guest.” “Have him at your house, wherever that is.” Cube was irritated, mostly because he wasn’t sure how long Jay had been standing here. “I haven’t got a house.” “Bull.” “Seriously, you don’t want to meet the guest, he’s not exactly very friendly.” Jay stiffened. “He’s here, get out the back door. Now.” Cube felt a cold breath on his back, and jumped. Nobody was there, but he felt something foul. Something wicked this way comes. The voice came out of the darkness. It whispered from right next to Octavius’s ear. It crawled up his spine and twitched along his fingers. A tall, slender form appeared in the room. Try as he might, Octavius couldn’t focus on it. “Jay, what is that thing?” He put himself between it and Cavera. “My guest. Out.” The pair complied. ************************** Unknown Laboratory The newly-created fester that had once been Christ Metler was motionless, the minute amounts of glowing yet colorless liquid being pumped out it’s body shedding light over the miserable being. The black-clad man rested his hand on a vial of the fluid. This was it. What he’d worked for for so long. He would be well-rewarded for this. But first, he had to test it. He prepared the first injection, and turned to Brendan Beckman’s motionless body. The black-clad man grinned inside. ************************** Streets of SPUF City Max Michaelis fidgeted. “Look, Mr Munda. I’ve been having, umm, trouble using magic lately.” “Trouble? What seems to be the problem?” Stanley had the concerned-father-figure down pat. “I can’t use magic. At all. Just a fizzle. Not even cantrips.” Max swallowed, afraid of what Munda would do with a useless mage. “Why not?” The mask of kind concern slipped, showing his irritation. “I don’t know. I just don’t know. B-but, I’m sure, given some time, I can figure it out!” “You’d better.” ************************** Unknown Laboratory Snip, snip. Stitch, stitch, stitch, sever, done! The black clad man looked down on his work. An experiment using the bodies of multiple nobodies, people that wouldn’t be missed. And a tiny injection, his first test of the new chemical. Now, to wake it. He flipped a switch, and thousands of volts of electricity went coursing through the freak’s body. It stood. The black-clad man grinned inside. ************************** Cavera’s Apartment The door squeaked slightly - she’d have to get it oiled - as Cavera stepped into her rather posh apartment. The first thing she saw stopped her dead in her tracks. Lying on the ground was the corpse of Rex “King” Ichor, brutally mutated. Written on the wall, in his blood, were five words: YOU CAN’T RUN FROM HEAVEN. That wouldn’t stop her from trying.[/spoiler2] Also, next chapter: there will be blood.
