Yeah I fucking hated the SA-X, both from a gameplay perspective and because I think the whole "dark version of the hero" thing is played out. As for Tactics, IIRC rules weren't that bad because each area had a list of what laws would be in effect on any given day. On occasion you might get caught on a "no swords" day but usually you could time encounters to your advantage. To be fair, it was probably the least well implemented gameplay mechanic.

I hope so, there's only so long you can keep telling the top brass to "hold the airstrike".

I seem to recall one of these being substantially better than the other but I can't for the life of me remember which one. Also, surprised no one's mentioned Final Fantasy Tactics Advance. I thought that was a great game.
