​I was surprised I didn't hate it. I really wanted to. Strangely enough what I found to be most lacking were the action scenes. I went into it thinking the plot would be the weak point but at least the shootouts would be cool, but it ended up being the exact opposite. I liked the fact that they did something different with Murphy and I appreciated how self aware they were about remaking the film at all ("make him black, the test groups like black"). On the other hand, a lot of the fights were pretty dull to me and a lot of the edge was lost with the whole PG-13 lack of gore thing.

Well, it's dead for me, anyway. "Art style ruined" and "balance ruined" gripes aside, I just got tired of it. I don't think there's any game I could play for 3 or 4 years before burning out like that. I've tried to get back into it on occasion but the amount of time before I become sick of it again gets less and less every time I reinstall it.

I'm not even offended, I just think this video is fucking hilarious.

​The reviews I read boil down to either: -Framerate issues make it unplayable (but the gameplay is great!) I foresee the framerate issues being patched within a week, and then, as the reviews keep saying "The controls are great and responsive and the combat is fun and the story is pretty good." ​That still doesn't make me want to spend $60 on something I'm going to have to sit on for X number of days (at best) until they patch it.

Damn. I really wanted to get Arkham Knight but those steam reviews paint a pretty bleak picture.

Also got Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag. I've never had any interest in the AC games but my brother happened to buy it yesterday, so I got to play it when I visited today. It's pretty fun, and the naval combat is surprisingly satisfying.

It depends on what you're using it for, but the Locomotive is pretty much the reigning champion stat-wise, plus it's a secondary. Joceline and the Steakout 12G are probably my second/third favorites right now, and the Raven and Judge are great if you're looking for something more concealable.

​How much of an Ernie voice are you going to do? I tried to go full Ernie for my audition (they had me do my audition song, then sing through it a second time with a puppet in a different voice), so as much as I can without it sounding too ridiculous. I like doing voices anyway so that's half the fun. Singing in his voice is kind of challenging, though. .
