I can PM the other guys on our ship or something. Witty and I had something in the works that we were going to use to cut out our inactive captain, no reason we can't just use it to do the same with people who don't want to be involved in your thing.

I'm okay with it, but if you want to use my character at some point I'd appreciate if you shot me a message letting me know what for. I don't really want to give up on my guy either so I'd like to be able to manage him canonically even if I'm not writing him at the moment.

I thought I heard there was a porn game on Steam already? Maybe I'm imagining things. I don't particularly care if it's on Steam but I think you make a pretty good point about quality control. I'd rather see Hatred on Steam than some of the crap that they're willing to distribute.

I guess I can understand it getting an A/O rating. Lots of innocent people can be massacred in other games, but I don't know how many make that the actual mission objective. I'm not sure if that rating should strictly for "violence", though.

There was. I can't remember what it was called. I don't know if you're at all interested in suggestions, but it might be neat to add limited fuel for thrust to the mix. In addition to it being a mobility mechanic it could also balance weapons. Instead of using ammunition, firing something like a railgun would require a certain amount of fuel in order to keep you from flying backwards - moreso than a machine gun, for instance. You'd have to manage recoil combined with the amount of fuel needed for both travel and stabilization. Players would have to refuel either at a designated area or with some kind of item, and to add a bit of risk, players out of fuel could also have the option to vent oxygen from their suits for thrust, essentially sacrificing their health for mobility if they need it badly enough. I'm not a huge fan of weapon degradation in general, but I think it's a good idea since the weapons in this game would basically be a free form of thrust. Managing degradation to decide when to use a railgun to throw you across the map and when to use it offensively sounds like it'd be an important mechanic to have.

Finally got around to seeing John Wick. I was a really solid action flick! The shootouts were well choreographed and shot and there was actually some interesting lore for a Branded to Kill-esque society of assassins. It's weird though, it feels more like the movie that comes out a few years after the end of its popular TV series. There were a lot of fellow assassins and other characters that we me that I'd really like to see fleshed out some. Maybe we'll get a prequel?

Meh, it's not like he's even here to read it. And on that note, sweet jesus. He's like a South Park character.

That's actually a pretty great idea. There's no way you're ever going to get rid of troll reviews so you might as well incorporate them into the system and make the best ones easy to find.

Not sure if anyone's posted this combo before but Brimstone + Tech 2 + Tiny Planet with Tammy's Head looks puh-retty darn cool (I think spectral tears is on there as well). This is at the end of the burst, after the brimstone effects start to clear.

So now we can stage a heist with none of the original PD crew being involved. That's kinda weird.

I'm pretty much middle of the road between the minimum and recommended specs. I need a new lot of things.

I think the point is that it's a cop out to decide "Oh, those guys aren't technically Muslims because they do things I don't approve of" when their actions are based on the same (and what some people would consider to be harmful) belief system. In fact, I'm sure a lot of these extremists consider themselves to be the only "true" Muslims. I'm not arguing that they're right. I'm saying that ideologies are so widely varied within a single religion that it's almost arbitrary to say "Oh, that person isn't a real Christian because she got an abortion", or "That person isn't a real Jew because he isn't Orthodox". There's always going to be some sect or group that's going to make that point about others who identify as the same religion as them, so who even gets to make that call? Not to mention, it comes off as a way to waive any responsibility for or even acknowledge the negative aspects of those religions and their consequences.

I don't really care. I use "gɪf" and "d͡ʒɪf" pretty much interchangeably, but the hard soft "g" makes the most sense IMO.
