You let me in. I think your standards are pretty low.

TR has been getting rape pounded lately. We had those blue and purple noobs pushed all the way back to their warp gates on Amerish, couldn't take either of them and after I ate and came back from dinner we had lost half the continent. Really? I like the TR but I feel like our faction has a ton of stupid, disorganized players.

Fuuuuuck they're all so good in so many different ways. How am I supposed to pick between Wind Waker and Portal?

I'm "kayohgee" by the way if anyone wants to add me. I'm super creative with names.

Yeah, I already tried that and it didn't seem to work. Maybe because my boot drive was on a partition (I'm thinking it might have been erased altogether)? I'm not sure. At any rate, I just went ahead and reinstalled. I managed to back up stuff I wanted to keep from my main drive onto a portable from the system restore options and I took the opportunity to install the 64 bit version of 7 (I'd been running on a 32 bit version and considering I might upgrade my RAM soon I was probably gonna do this anyway).

I'll try to keep this short - I can't boot up my computer box. I'm not sure why the fuck this happened, but I booted from a Windows 7 disc and went into System Recovery and it seems Windows has taken the liberty of renaming all my drive letters. It has also created what I can only describe as a "phantom drive" that is now occupying C. As far as I can tell there isn't actually anything on the drive because it doesn't actually refer to any existing hardware. The letter has been assigned, seemingly, to nothing. Meanwhile my existing C drive was moved to D and pretty much all of my other drives have had their letter changed. I originally had my boot drive on a partition (assigned to F) which has now been reassigned to X, for reasons I can't even begin to fathom. At this point, I'm not even completely sure what drive the fucking thing is trying to boot off of - the empty C "drive" or the renamed Boot drive. At any rate, I've passed the point where my rather limited computer literacy is going to help me. So, my question is basically this: Is it possible to either rename my drive letters or delete the new C drive altogether if I'm only able to boot from a Windows 7 disc with the limited options this gives me, or will I have to reinstall windows 7 altogether? I'd appreciate the help. Sorry I called you nerds.

I think it's called jigglyman's funplace or something like that. Best server in TF2.

It's very good.

Well, there's also that indie game that came out a day or two ago, Miasmata. It's only about 15 bucks and it might be cool to do something a little more obscure or unexpected.

Jokes aside, if you're willing to ignore the lack of single player, Planetside 2 might be an interesting one to review. It's recent and technically free. Scribblenauts might be a good choice as well.

I think we should rename our squad the Steam Powered User Posse. Do that. And then invite me to the newly formed SPUP.

That's assuming you already own a console, in which case I agree. However, if you don't want to go out and buy one just to own a specific game, controllers are still viable options for playing it on PC.

Just got a new Blu-Ray drive and so far it's been a hassle trying to get the thing to actually play a disc. I ended up purchasing PowerDVD (mistake) since it seemed to be the most widely used option but the program runs painfully slow and I couldn't actually get it to play the disc as it just freezes altogether. I tried setting up VLC for BD playback (there's a site with instructions on how to do this that apparently works) and also tried out trial versions of a few programs, but all of them did the same thing. I ended up using a program called MakeMKV to rip it and convert it to a file VLC can play, but at around 50 gigs a disc I don't see this as being the best long term option (unless I get a new hard drive). So, the drive can clearly read the discs fine, it's just that most of the software I've tried can't play them. Anyone had similar issues or any experience with this? Any suggestions?

Can't you play the PC version with a controller?
