I'm playing FTB University 1.16 with some people I know from Warframe.

Its a nice pack of mods, not many that step on each others feet. I have a more casual approach to it, but some of the other guys already managed to reach the almost-end game, one became the server's archmage with most Magic mods maxed and other has this insane ore/mob drop generator that gives him like thousands of stuff per minute.

Not everyone's taste, but I'm having fun.

Never played FTB - I've heard a lot of good things but I actually know very little about it. As far as modded Minecraft goes the only one I've put any real time into is RLCraft, which I got hooked on for a while last year. Not everyone's taste either. The pack itself is a mess and it's brutally unfair in the beginning, but I stuck it out to around mid-to-late game and it started getting pretty satisfying as I progressed.

I haven't played it on a server but I imagine if you had a tight knit group of people it would make for a pretty cool PVE experience given how tough it can be.

  2. The only screenshot I have which isn't of a cave or a wall is this monastery thing I was building on the 2nd map.

Really bums me out I don't have more, or any from the original map with the ravine city and the one we made on a cleared off mountain.

I still play! If there were ever a Spufcraft 2.0 I would be there. Just throwing that out there.

We had a Minecraft server years ago, the central hub with everyone's houses near each other was rather nice to look at.

No idea what happened to the map though, seems no one around here kept it. Some say Witty had it, but he never returned my messages.

I've driven myself nuts looking for it but with no luck. I have a drive with screenshots of an old base from that server, but I can't find a save or a world I might have downloaded. I'm positive I have a copy somewhere.

    That was a great server.

I think you give them too much credit. They may be so retarded they just forget his actual last name halfway through writing the article and think that since "Chan" is an actual surname it could totally be Chris's! They are journalists, after all.

I saw one article that said Chris was married according to social media, but they were still trying to verify who his spouse is, and I'm just over here yelling "She's married to multiple fictional characters you hack FUCKS"

  5. Personally I am horrified but not shocked. I've always seen CWC as a pretty creepy mix of being desperate and deluded enough to justify predatory behavior. I feel like the only reason more of this shit hasn't happened is that CWC is pretty much confined to interacting online, and otherwise puts up so many red flags people don't go near them. They had access to their mom and no one else, and she was vulnerable.

I'm very on the fence about whether you can say they're guilty due to "reason of insanity" or if CWC is high functioning enough to know on some level how wrong this is.

I also do have to wonder whether outside influenced pushed them in this direction. Maybe someone they were in contact with egged them on. Maybe you could argue this was a very gradual thing that would not have happened without people leading Chris further and further away from being a functional individual. Maybe it always would have happened. I think this entire story is so unique and bizarre that we'll never know for sure - just that it's tragic and fucked up.

  6. Also the multiverse will ensure your favorite dead heroes will cameo in future films until their actors actually die.

Actually, not even then, since they'll just be played by different people in different universes. Or they'll come from the "Uncanny Valley CGI-verse" where everyone looks like a dead-eyed deepfaked muppet.

You ever wake up from a dream with a prominent specific element, and you struggle to remember if that element had popped up across several of your recent dreams, or if it was just one really long dream you just had?

Yes, recently it's happened a lot with Palladium.

  8. Been a long time but...

    SCOUT
Soda Popper / Bonk! / Sandman

    SOLDIER
Direct Hit / Buff Banner / Market Gardener

    PYRO
Backburner / Flare Gun / Axtinguisher

    DEMOMAN
Loose Cannon / Scottish Resistance / Eyelander

    HEAVY

Brass Beast / Sandvich / Fists of Steel

    ENGINEER
Rescue Ranger / Wrangler / Gunslinger

    MEDIC
    Crusader's Crossbow / Quick-Fix / Übersaw

    SNIPER

Bazaar Bargain / Jarate / Bushwacka

    SPY

Enforcer / Your Eternal Reward / Dead Ringer

Not to hijack the thread but here's a part two: combining all available weapons, stock included, what if each class only had three weapons to choose from? Your picks become the new stock with no alternative unlocks.

Wait you actually watched the show and still post here.  Can you give me a dose of sanity and confirm that the ending made no sense since...:

If Walter stopped the observers from ever existing, then logically all of their interference with the timeline should have been erased.  I mean, that was the point, erase them from history so they don't fuck up the future.  But then that means that September would never have interrupted Walter in the alternate universe, meaning that Peter in the alternate universe would have successfully been cured, and so Walter from our universe would never have torn a hole in the fabric of the universe to save him.  That would mean that the alternate universe would no longer have a beef with ours, and indeed would not even be aware of our existence, meaning that ZFT would never have been created in order to stop them.  Therefore basically everything in the entire show should have been erased.  But most importantly, Peter never would have come to this universe, and Olivia would never have been given the ability to cross between universe (there being no need to get Peter back to the other universe or to defend against incursions from the other universe), meaning that they never would have met and certainly would never had had a child.  It only makes sense if you assume that the "good" observers still can time travel, despite their present never existing, while the "bad" ones who actually invade somehow are successfully erased from existence.

    Spoiler

It's been a while since I finished it so there are a lot of finer details I've forgotten. One of the better theories I've heard is kind of in line with what you mentioned - that Walter didn't erase the Observers' timeline completely. Taking Michael into the future may not have prevented the Observers from being created altogether, it may have just created a new timeline in which the Observers don't end up having their emotions purged completely. They end up evolving into more benevolent scientists , with the final timeline making some kind of natural "course correction" that ensures September still sets off the events of the series while exploring to avoid a paradox. Maybe Walter even does that from his position in the future as he's also aware that needs to happen.

You could also argue that Peter and Olivia can still end up together in the main universe through an entirely different series of events. The ending is messy as hell either way, but I think the writers realized that and were at least smart enough to keep things very vague and only gave us a short glimpse of the final timeline. I think there's a lot of room to fill in the blanks.
