Comp Pokemon isn't a game where we take everything out to make it balanced, like TF2. We use what we are given with and work with it to make a balanced metagame, we ban things that the community in general calls broken, Smogon doesn't decide bans, the community does. I understand how you think hax (term for crits and and random stats conditions) are BS because you probably follow the TF2 metagame, but hax play an important role in Pokemon, whether it's taking down a wall that just won't die or stopping that special sweeper who just set up a Calm Mind.
