If you want to have some fun, pick up a Linoone, it provides a fun challenge. My favorite starter is Torchic so I naturally pick him. This was my end team in my latest Emerald run: Blaziken, Linoone, Ludicolo, Swellow, Magneton (yeah didn't pick up another pokemon for a looong time), Regice (inb4 OMFG U USE LEGENDAREEEZ NOOB)
