No he's not; Kotl is the only thing that actually makes him all around strong, without him he's got just a terrible early game as everyone else.

Buddha and I goofed around on one of those megaclan servers that runs shitty maps like Dustbowl and 2Fort. It was pretty fun.

So yeah, anyone know of some fun self-imposed challenges one can do when replaying a Pokemon game? Preferably one without permanent death. The only other one I can think of is Mono-Type, but that seems impractical if I need a well rounded team for use afterwards. And I suck at speedruns that aren't Sonic.

How about a scramble challenge? You can't choose the Pokemon you want, we do, we can also choose it's moveset. So you're pretty much at the mercy of us.
