Try playing Engineer or Heavy Assault. Very straight forward and very versatile. They are both good for offense and defense. Good at both frontlines and back as a support. You can shoot your healing gun at friendlies

Don't try to kill. Be a Medic, heal, and bodyblock patients so they don't die.

I've been rolling with a Heal Launcher and a Buff Launcher only. I just get all my teammates with me and I keep them alive the entire round. Loadsafun

So... fellow Engineers, what is the best suit upgrade? Nanomesh (more health) or Flak (explosive protection). I'm deciding what happens more frequently: exploding tanks or being flanked by a Light Assault
