  2. i've always wanted to write an academic paper on this topic so i can graph the relationship between enjoyment and time with many different types of food.

most foods have a bell curve, but some instances are bit more complicated. ice cream for example would retain a normal bell curve at the beginning because you enjoy the food and over time law of marginal returns kick in. however, the ice cream will be far less enjoyable towards the very end (perhaps even towards negative enjoyment) due to it melting and being more annoying to micromanage as it melts. for a calzone for instance, that shit is fucking always served way too fucking hot when its first given so you can't even fucking eat it and your enjoyment becomes an inverted bell curve until it actually cools off so you can eat it and then it becomes a normal bell curve again.

i like computer science more the psychology though

    2 minute bagel

the bagel was too hot at first so i had it sit for a little bit and then i ate i while it was still a little too hot but then as i ate it it was pretty good and i enjoyed it until law of marginal returns kicked in and then i hit peak enjoyment and then i started to enjoy it less and then i finished it. here's a full graph of my findings

  4. I played about 4 to 5 hours of Bloodborne at my uncle's house. I got up to Old Yharnam with the one hunter on the ground and the one on the chaingun in the tower. I had a general idea of where I was supposed to go, but couldn't find the way to Vicar Amelia.

The actual combat system is kinda ridiculous in the fact that I'm allowed to use firearms without stamina cost, allowing me to not only use them to parry, but also use them just to stagger enemies for more free hits since stamina regen doesn't have a delay if you completely empty your stamina. The fact that I can regain health through attacks and that stamina will regen instantly if I'm not doing anything is insane and completely changes the flow of combat. That being said, it makes fighting hunters absolutely frantic. I had no difficulty fighting anything until I got to the hunter on the ground in Old Yharnam. The 1st hunter you meet I thought was pretty easy due to all the cover everywhere and was nothing more than just a tutorial to fighting hunters rather than beasts.

I'd say that BotW Master Mode is even more brutal than any Dark Souls game.

Dark Souls isn't defined by it's difficulty but it's mechanics and design. It just so happens that it's mechanics and design created a game that's slightly more difficult than the bog standard cinematic experiences most games want to be.

Oh yeah, I'm actually a huge fan. HTDA was pretty great - Ice Age is one of my favorite songs he's ever done, but I missed Trent's vocals on it. I wasn't really into the whole With Teeth/Year Zero/The Slip era of albums so I'm stoked he's been making a comeback for the last few years.

I don't think much of With Teeth or The Slip, but Year Zero in my opinion is best appreciated as narrative since it's a concept album after all. It's a pretty cyberpunk 1984-esque story as a reaction against Bush Jr. The main musical critique of it that I've seen around is that it doesn't have any good fan favorite singles to define the album. If anything, you have Capital G or Survivalism but it doesn't even remotely hold up compared to something like March Of The Pigs.

The issue with Splatoon 1 is that I didn't buy it because I stopped buying Wii U games so I could finally save up for me PC (which I did - I escaped the Mac).

But now that I have money I never went back and bought Wii U games I would've if I didn't want a PC because the console was offed.

thats why you instead buy nintendo consoles on day 1, and then keep them offline and block all nintendo servers for 5 years so then you can get full root access for homebrew

I think I tried to play Runescape around 2010 because I've always heard about it.

And boy, was I disappointed. No idea if I left too early, but all I did for almost a hour was break rocks and chop down trees.

If I'm going to play a low poly game about chopping down trees and breaking rocks, I'd rather be playing Minecraft.

Really if you get down to it, why even bother play any games if it's about pressing buttons to make data values go up or down in order to push more buttons? I think the fun in MMOs is extremely varied and depends on your own ability to be able to grind. I don't think the fun in RS is that whole no XP waste, gotta get all 99s life. The fun in MMOs will probably always be just playing with so many people. Sure a huge point in RS is breaking rocks and chopping down trees for progression, but the bigger part of it is the community interaction.
